Introduction: Fire Emblem 9- Path of Radiance was released for the Nintendo Gamecube and followed the mercenary leader Greil and soon after his son, Ike. It's the first game not to feature the main protagonist as a noble-born character of some sort.
On the continent of Tellius live Beorc ("humans") and Laguz (human-like being with the ability to transform into various creatures, such as cats, tigers, birds, and dragons). Ike and the Greil Mercenaries find the Princess of Crimea and help her liberate the country of Crimea from Daein. Much past is revealed as they fight through and gain the alliance of Begnion, including a deep history of conflict between the Beorc and Laguz races.
