Sealed Sword Chapter 12: The True Enemy

On the northern part of the Western Isles we find ourselves once again, inside a castle chapter. Well, might as well get this over with.
This is a very narrow map with a lot of space in between the walls, sadly the in between space is filled with enemies, mainly archers. Javelins and ranged units shine on this map. There are a few annoying priests in the center of the map, so bring a restore staff on the eastern side.
Your team is split in two for this map, one group on the western side and one on the eastern side. The western group has to travel down the corridor of doom whereby they can be attacked from up to 3 different sides. The eastern group has an easier time of it initially, only having to deal with a few enemies to their north. Very strong reinforcements appear from the north and south west in a few turns so we'll see who's laughing soon enough.
For the western group, have Alan or Lance lead the charge, equipped with a javelin, this will help them to deal with all the archers stuck inside the walls. The reason I say charge is because we have to beat this chapter within 20 turns or else we lose access to the Gaiden chapter.
Bring a thief in each group to make it easier for you to open the chests, it also makes it so that you don't have to quickly rush a thief from one side of the map to the other to get to the chests before the turn limit runs out
Our good friend Cath appears on turn _ from the northern part of the map, she will head towards the eastern side chests. If this is your third time talking to her with Roy, she will join you finally.
Move up the map, avoid the units in the central room if you don't want to have to deal with them, they're decent exp but can be annoying to try and defeat so it's up to you. It should take you 2 - 3 turns, but once all the enemies have been cleared out of the passageway, it's time to head towards the area outside the throne room
There is a warrior and some brigands waiting for you in the room, they will move when you get in range so funnel them down the corridor, luring them down the corridor and crushing them with one of your sword users.
There is a shaman on the western side of the area in front of the throne room. This is Ray, who is Lugh's brother and can be recruited by talking to him with either Lugh or Chad. He doesn't move or attack so recruit him at your leisure.
Once the eastern side enemies and reinforcements have been taken care of, open the door to the throne room and head up towards the boss.

The boss is a dragon, holy hell. Most of your melee attacks will do nothing against him, magic is your best bet. You recieve an Aircalibur tome in this chapter, give it to either Lugh or Lilina, depending on which you trained up, and watch as they take down his health. Otherwise, use the Wyrmslayer you recieved at the end of Chapter 10A/10B will tear him to shreds. |
