Fire Emblem Shrine :: Burning Passion

Second Contest! September 11th, 2013

We are holding another contest as part of the Fire Emblem Giveaway. Note that the rules and regulations of participation for the first contest do not apply to this second contest unless explicitly stated under this contest's rules (located further below).

To enter our 2nd contest, simply tweet us an interesting Fire Emblem pic you made (e.g. artwork, comic, animation) or audio file of a character impression, keeping in mind the rules/regulations as follows:

The idea is to create something of your own that shows off some level of creativity. Artwork is just one option: you may opt to create a comic using sprites from Fire Emblem games, or perhaps draw a sketch of some aspect of Fire Emblem skewed for humor's sake, an animated GIF, or anything, as long as it is in picture format. Though each entry is subject to the judgment of the contest host, here are some guidelines on what to/not to submit:

Must be Fire Emblem-related. No Tearring Saga, Berwick Saga, or SMT.
Must be your own work. If you opt to borrow official artwork or sprites, those will NOT be judged as part of your work--we will judge you instead on the effort you put into using those assets in a creative way. Don't even dare steal fanart or other works and claim it as your own: we won't let it slide and may ask for proof of your work.
Please refrain from including any potentially offensive material in your work. Excessive swearing, vulgar terminology, or sexually explicit material will not be accepted. If you aren't sure about your work, e-mail your idea (or a W.I.P.) to admin@feshrine.net and we can likely tell you ahead of time if it is okay.

Voice Impression:

As an alternative to creating artwork (I personally cannot draw to save my life), you may submit a short audio file of you doing an impression of a character from Fire Emblem. Since only certain characters in Smash Bros., Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, and Awakening have ever had voice acting, you are limited to doing impressions of these characters. Here are some suggestions/guidelines on how to go about this:

Use the best mic you can get ahold of. Background noise won't help your cause.
Short and sweet is for the best. We don't want to listen to anything more than 15 seconds.
It may be helpful to mention (in your normal voice) who you are impersonating.
English and Japanese impressions of characters only. Taking liberties with what you say might help your cause, e.g. having a character say something they would never say in-game or speaking multiple lines in quick succession might be more interesting than just a simple one-liner.
Submit your recording in an easy-to-listen audio file type, such as .wav or .mp3. If I have a hard time opening it, the entry may be disqualified. There are online audio file converters if needed.

Once you submit either a picture or an audio file (you can't do both!) to our Twitter (if your account is verified you should be able to Direct Message us, but we welcome you to share your entry publicly for others' enjoyment), your part is done.

The prize for this contest is a copy of the Knights of Iris Collector's Artbook for residents of the U.S.A., Fire Emblem: Awakening for Canada, and a pre-paid pre-order of SMT x FE for accepted areas of Europe. The deadline for entries is October 31st, 2013, at 11:59PM EDT. Please note the (lengthy) list of rules and regulations regarding the contest located below. By entering the contest, you abide by these rules and acknowledge that they may change at any time and that neither @FireEmblemBuzz nor the Fire Emblem Shrine are responsible for neither the consequences of this contest nor any other matters regarding it.

We reserve the right to refuse giveaways or change the prize at any time without explicit reasoning.
Failure to claim your prize within 168 hours may result in forfeit of your prize.
Only one prize may be claimed per household for the duration of the entire Fire Emblem Give Away.
If one opts in to claim a copy of Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem it will be shipped on release. If it is by some chance not released in one's region, a substitutional prize may be chosen, at the discretion of the contest host.
Failure to abide by the contest rules may result in disqualification.
We reserve the right to disqualify any entry or person from the contest at any time for any reason, without liability.
You must be 18 or older as of September 31st, 2013 to enter this contest.
Before offering any information to the contest host, it is your responsibility to make sure they verify their identity as to prevent disclosure of personal information to an unwanted third-party.
The Fire Emblem Shrine cannot be held responsible for your participation in this contest nor can it guarantee the prizes mentioned. This is simply a safety measure in case of extenuating circumstances where a winner is unable to claim their prize or a participant wishes to file a complaint against the execution of the contest.

Fire Emblem Giveaway! August 28th, 2013

As part of our promotion for Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, our twitter (@FireEmblemBuzz) and our new site, we will be having a Fire Emblem giveaway contest! All you have to do is retweet specific messages that we tell you to. You only have 24 hours to retweet it; doing so gives you one "count". The more counts you have, the greater a chance you have of winning the prize, so retweet often!

Don't forget to read and pay close attention to the rules:
