In this chapter, we are tasked with defending a mans wife for seven turns. The man starts off the chapter on the enemies side but can be recruited if we talk to him with Lyn.

There is a very specific set-up for this chapter

Put the two cavaliers just inside the walls of the stronghold towards the south. They will deal with the swarm of Brigands that comes from the south. One or both should be double attacking by this stage

Florina and lyn should wait a turn for Dorcas to enter the stronghold, talk to him on the next turn. After wards, send Dorcas and Lyn to deal with thhe Brigand directly outside the wall.

Then send Florina to the top right hand corner, leave her on the forest tile. With the Iron Lance you picked up in the last chapter equipped, she should kill the Mercenary reinforcements in two hits.

Wil will take care of the eastern side. He will be standing on the other side of the breakable wall piece. Make sure the archer does not die early on. Wil should attack the Mercenary who will be attacking the wall trying to break through. The mercenary will die in two-three hits and then the Brigand will take over. Keep attacking the Brigand, eventually, the Brigand will break through the wall but the enemy Archer will wedge himself between the Brigand and Wil, allowing Wil to finish off the Brigand, and then kill the Archer on the next turn.

Once the Brigand swarm from the south eases off a bit, Sain and kent can roam, and defeat the Brigand reinforcements that spawn from the south-eastern corner.

Lyn and Dorcas should make a beeline for the boss, if you kill him, the chapter ends no matter how many turns have passed, so make sure to wait till the last possible turn, or else you are wasting valuable experience. There is an archer nearby but he will be easily taken care of.
