Sealed Sword Chapter 4: Collapse of the Alliance
Walkthrough
This landscape looks eerily familiar, for all those who have played Fire Emblem 7, this is the land of Laus and our boss is even the same as before; Erik.
There are a lot of Cavaliers in this chapter, so that newly acquired armorslayer is going to work wonders here, give it to whichever fighter has gained more levels.
There are also some Nomads, Archers and Soldiers but they are much weaker than the Cavaliers.
We are positioned on a patch of land on the eastern side, very close to a village. Visit it with Marcus to recieve a Door Key.
The only way is West, straight into the heart of the enemy force, for the first turn, cross the bridge and wait for them to come to you. When it becomes your turn, try and kill as many that are in range.
If people become low due to a dodgy enemy hit rate, heal them, rescue them or try and block the enemies path with your other units. The high movement stat of the Cavaliers means they can reach your weaker units in the back very quickly if there are any gaps.
On turn 3, a troubadour appears from the back of the castle. This is Clarine, and on her turns she will run straight to Roy and talk to him herself. She will join afterwards.
Try and be have Roy close to the castle on turn 3 so that she doesn't have far to travel. Or if you can't have, somebody rescue her on your next turn and bring her to safety so that she cannot be hit by the enemies attacks.
On turn 4 Pirates begin to appear from the south-western forts that are situated in the sea. They will head straigh for the Village on the southern central part of the map. You can leave units on the beach landing in wait for them.
The pirates are good Exp for any of your units that may need some. I like to train Chad and Lugh off of these pirates with Clarine or Ellen for backup in case they get hit.
Visit the northern village and you get an Iron Blade, visit the southern one and you get an Angelic Robe. Both very useful items in their own regards, so make sure you don't miss out on these items.
Turn 6 is a problem. On turn six Rutger, a very poweful myrmidon, two fighters and an archer appear from the castle and begin to move immediately. We are able to recruit Rutger thankfully, which means we don't have to face the Killing Edge of death.
You do not want to leave any units around the castle on turn 6 though, because Rutger will kill them. The safe area is the line from north to south just before the northern village entrance.
As long as nobody has passed that point, your units will be safe and the enemies will just move into your range allowing you to kill them on your turn.
Recruit Rutger by talking to him with Clarine on your turn.
From there you just have to mop up the remaining enemies, some more pirates will have spawned but they're just running onto the beach like it's Normandy so they're no trouble.
Buy some items if you feel you need them. You might need another Iron Sword at this point. Once that is done, head for the caslte and Erik.

Fight: "You fools who are bound down by old, moldy tradition. I shall teach you the ways of the world!" |
Defeat: "Ha... haha... Fools... There is no future for those... who try and oppose absolute power..." |
Defeat |
He carries a javelin which means he is able to attack from afar. Make him use the Javelin and try and hit him with the Halberd from the previous chapter.Other options are Roy's Rapier if he has been trained in anyway, Lugh's magic does a good deal of damage.
If not you can fall back on the duo of Rutger and Dieck to bash at the boss till he dies. Praying that Rutger crits. |
