has anyone done a tutorial on how to insert custom spell animations?
I want to make a water spell (probably by using surf from Pokemon since I found the sprite on spriter's resource~) but have no clue on how to use that part of FEditor.

I don't believe so, I'm the only one who seems to actually use that part of FEditor Adv (besides just playing around with it) but I haven't gotten to making one so I don't think there is one.

There are already a multitude of tutorials for custom sprites written, so I doubt new ones are going be made XD.
If you're starting I recommend splicing, this tutorial is one of the easiest to understand I found while searching myself, and it's right here in this forum, too.

Once you're more familiar with how the whole process works (MUCH more familiar) then you can try fully customising face sprites, but I have only seen a few people manage to get the art style right.

@PrinceofDarkness learning how to sprite is like learning how to draw, except on a computer (it's called "pixel art"). Thus you need to ask for help in the Spriting forum, not in the hacking forum--this forum is for technical stuff like hacking, modding, coding, etc.

You can't insert custom sprites with nightmare, you need FEditor, there are many, many many tutorials on this and even at least two video tutorials on inserting custom face sprites.

It is also covered in Blazers ultimate tutorial.
The most usually problem is that Java Runtime Environment is not installed.
A google of 'Java Runtime Environment' will find you what you need to download.
If it still does not work then, your computer may need to be restarted.
I am unsure what the problem is if FEditor still does not start.
I recommend that if you have further issues, you should start a new thread outlining your problem, as this is a thread for asking about already existing tutorials or the creation of tutorials, and individual problems themselves can be more easily handled outside of this thread.

I'm not sure how linking to other sites on this forum works.
Many forums do not like having links to other sites, which is why I told you to Google it.
Again, Blazer's Ultimate tutorial covers it, and if you are having trouble finding it for whatever reason, the online version is located here: http://www.feshrine....timatetutorial/ and the Chapter on FEditor is Chapter 39.
If you have further questions about Java, please create your own thread to ask questions about it, as this thread is primarily for tutorials, existing or not, and not about individual issues.

You can link to other websites that don't have inappropriate content (see the rules) and so as long as it isn't blatant advertising (e.g. "Come to this site instead, it has this that and it's so much better" or something akin to that).

I believe that they are in SF folder and I have read that nintenlord's compressor can be used to get it, but I don´t know how.

Once again durandal it would be nice to know a few things about the hack before you ask for help. Introduce your premise, tell us which game you're modding, describe what kind of hack you want, etc.
