Hmmm, starting off with two kids, or just the same kid in different outfits? Based on eye colors it seems like 2 different kids, but one never knows. Regardless, interesting way to start a career.
I feel the first one has a lot of hair going on. The shape of the face gets wild due to that, but I suppose it gives the mug a personal style. And it flows right. I am not crazy about the color picks, but it doesn't seem like a first timer's mug, you have some talent. I am betting you are proficient in an other kind of art, then?
For ninja boy/girl, not much to add. I personally think you could have shaded more around parts so they blended better, but it looks right. Both are quite nice mugs, and I could see either of them in a hack with no problem.
Keep 'em coming, Aspen. ^___^
Thanks. Indeed, both are kids, different kids. I'm working on some adults at the moment, but kids are just faster and easier to do, from what I've seen. Oh, and to answer your question, the other form of art I practice is 3D game design, with 3Ds Max. If you call that art. (I do.) It's a hobby/passion of mine.
