In Topic: Completed Games List 2017

1. Hotel Dusk: Room 215, DS - February 1st

2. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Wii - February 25th

3. BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend, PS4 - March 23rd.

4. Final Fantasy XV, PS4 - March 30th.

5. Gravity Rush 2, PS4 - April 8th.

6. Persona 5, PS4 - May 8th.

7. Catherine, PS3 - May 20th.

Catherine is probably the most bizarre game I've played. I expected to do badly since this is a puzzle game, a genre I'm not that good at ,but I wonder if me having such a hard time in the later levels was because I'm bad or because the game is difficult. I was playing on easy and I did alright for most of the game but some of the later levels made me think "How is this supposed to be easy?!" 7-5 immediately comes to mind. I guess Atlus just expects people to be very good.

The game manages to be pretty engaging despite its simplistic gameplay. The boss levels especially.

Zero Time Dilemma was exhausting at times for sure.  I'm just glad it exists at all given that I've been on this ride since the start and there was a 4 year gap where we were told that there was no funding for a sequel to Virtue's Last Reward.

I'll take all the good that came out of the game and throw away the fact that the game kind of ended poorly...it's the sequel I gave up hope on ever seeing.  Whether or not it was good at points or has any replay value is pretty irrelevant for me as I finally got to see it through.

I'm kind of glad that I didn't play Virtue's Last Reward until last year because that ending would have annoyed me if I saw it at a time when there was no sequel in sight.

The cinematic style and panning camera they went with made sitting through Zero Time Dilemma pretty boring at times. The character animations aren't that great due to the visibly low budget which leads to the characters not moving much, so I wonder why they went with this when they could have gone visual novel like the first two games. I'm guessing they wanted to appeal to the American fans since Zero Escape is liked more in America than in Japan.

I don't remember all the things I had a problem with in the story because it has been a long time. Two things I recall not liking are Junpei's and Akane's characterization. Junpei's

As for Akane. I disliked her flanderization and

The game's ending was unsatisfying and disappointing. I can see myself replaying 999 and Virtue's Last Reward but not Zero Time Dilemma.

lol Yo, just coming to check once in a while helps a lot.

Hello!

ahhh your memory is scary, I thought it might have been that but I really didn't want to delve into the details, especially when my memory was fuzzy and not scarily detailed like yours, lol

I'm still kind of curious why we started talking though, oh well

My memory isn't really as good as you think. Yours must be very bad.

In Topic: Do you plan on getting this game?

14 May 2017 - 06:22 AM

I plan to get this game eventually but I don't see that happening for a few months. I have other things I want to finish/play first but, well, I've said the same thing in the past and I still ended up buying more games, so my words cannot be trusted. I think I have self-control now but we'll see.

Oooh, another new person! New people seem to be popping up quite a lot recently. Ni hao!

Hello!

lol hi

the story about Blazing Sword is so silly, go finish the game already you silly person

it was also pretty random of you to just join this site all of a sudden

he's just a silly friend of mine that I'm not even sure how I met anymore... maybe through Smash...? idk... lol

I'm currently playing Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 (PS2 Version) both of which I went back to recently after having them on hold for forever. I might play Blazing Sword again after I'm done with those two but that will take ages.

Yeah, it was pretty random. This site came to mind yesterday, so I made an account because why not.

A Serenes Forest member by the name of Euklyd made a group Smash chat on Skype in 2014. That's where I met you. We really only talked once or twice and played a few matches at first and didn't start talking to each other much until late 2015/early 2016, if I recall correctly.

All I've got to say is "Phi!".  The Zero Escape fanboy in me demands that I keep gushing how happy I am that someone else loves that game.

Yeah, I like Zero Escape. Zero Time Dilemma was...ok at best, but 999 and Virtue's Last Reward are prettty good! I played all three of them last year.
