Ok, so it is possible to save hack Flynn (and your whole party) into the game. If he leaves you just have to use the last save he was in the party for. Here's what one gamefaqs user found:

1) "Ok so I was personally able to make it so you can mod the party into early sections of the game.

Good News) They appear with all their artes/skills that you have for em.

Bad News) For whatever reason they don't start off with any skill points at all. I have yet to test further but I was at the Jail area with Yuri and Flynn/Judith were some of the chars without any SP.

I did probably copy a lot more than I should have, but I can definitely tell you for sure the party digits.

If you open the Save with a hex editor (HxD I use), then if you decrypt a file with a party that's full (or party of desire) and decrypt the save you want to edit, you then wanna copy anything from here

A3F40 to A8920

From your party save file to the new one, save it, then encrypt it.

Again this did work for me, but it might need some work to condense. Hope it helps you guys"

2) "Messed around a bit and again this is far from being 100%

lines from
A3F40
to
A8680

The following seem to affect items / sp points
A8790 - Items (Number of Items)

A88A0 to A8910 - Sp Points (Whether 1 or Normal Point Distribution)

If anyone can condense this further that would be amazing."

I'm green with this save hacking stuff. Any way to put Flynn in the party for the whole game (kind of like in the 360 version) instead of waiting for the next story event that he joins? My friend and I would like to do new game+ with Yuri and Flynn solo the whole game. I know this topic is old but any reply is received with gratitude
