Basically for you going "wtf is a cat cafe" - it's designed for people who live in things like apartment buildings who can't have their own pets so they can basically rent a time slot to go in and play with cats that live in a "cafe" type setting. CATS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!
I went to one last month on my birthday (and it was the best birthday ever fyi) because it was my dream since I found out one opened up in Australia (Melbourne - other side of the country for me) and I went a bit mental, to be honest (tried to get a selfie with every single cat). And now, they are opening one up closer to me in Perth which I am very excited for because it's easier to get to Perth than Melbourne. 14 cats at the one in Melb but I think they've got even more now. The best thing is they're all adopted cats so they have somewhere nice to stay with lots of food and attention. As far as the cafe side of things goes I'm not sure about others but Melbourne's only served snack type things that were all pre-packaged and the only thing they actually made was the coffee. Understandable as there would be strict regulations and guidelines about what they can actually serve since the cats pose a huge hygiene risk.
So, has anyone else been to one? Or would you like to visit one? There are a lot of them in Japan but outside of there I'm not really sure how common they are, but the Perth one will be the second in Australia. It's not opening until September, boo.
on another note do you guys reckon I should have my hens/bachelorette party there or what best idea ever right
This is something I do need to do a little bit more research on but I'm going to go ahead and run my mouth and say if you don't vaccinate your kids you're an idiot and putting everyone else at risk. I know someone who has a child who literally cannot be vaccinated (they would if they could) because of medical reasons so they rely on everyone else to do the right thing and vaccinate because if he caught something like whooping cough he would die from it. Vaccines are designed to help people and stamp out disease that can be completely prevented.
also I'm pretty sure they're trying to pass a bill here that will make it compulsory for you to have your children immunised if you wish to receive child care benefits from the government. +1 Aus gov.
I don't think they're mainly there to be seen as 'figures' as more as like a physical representation of data that you're using. Haha. They're main selling point is the connectivity that they can be used with games and people want them all so they can unlock the most out of their games which I find odd.
Ah well, I picked up Ike, Mega Man, Sheik and my girlfriend Zelda.
Yeah my brother in law made a point that the kind of figures I buy are for display purposes, whereas the amiibos are designed to be more robust as they're probably going to get used and knocked around and all that kind of thing. What happened to da days where when you bought a game you got the whole game? :<
That being said, if I actually decide to use them for what they're made for I think I'll buy a common one from the shop or whatever to open up and take out of the box. At this stage the FE ones are for collection purposes only considering how much I'm buying them for.
actually do the different characters do different things or do they just look different and they all level the same?
So, anyone got any of these? I didn't really care about them/have any interest of them because we haven't got a Wii U/N3DS yet but my sister and her husband keep bothering me about them so I just bought Marth and Ike from eBay which took up my weekly spending money - $50 each. If I had paid more attention to them before I would have bought them sooner.
At this stage the only one's I'm really interested in are the FE ones but I wouldn't mind a Zero Suit Samus. Apparently Robin and Lucina just came out/are coming very soon so I am hoping they have them in stock somewhere in town for the retail price which is what, $17 or something?
As someone who collects figures I wasn't really impressed with the quality of them but whateva. Bit overhyped.
I'm alright with this idea!! Haha. I've been kinda wanting to start doing them myself, but I'm so shy and I don't like talking by myself and would enjoy having a co-commentator or two help me along and make me not seem so awkward. <:
oh wow your accent probably sounds so elegant compared to mine dw, Australian accents are horrible, like a cat having it's tail pulled or something
So I'm reading this:
A. Let's play's would be cool
B. Do you mean commenting? Or something else that isn't commitment because I have no idea what you meant by that second line XD
C. So you're the one who keeps sniping all my stuff.
NO LIKE COMMITMENT ISSUES cos I would probably do 1 or start to do one and then never actually finish it or anything and you know I'm just a bad person
Yeah I'd love to do group let's plays. I'm kinda really boring by myself. Well, if you start doing it I'll definitely watch. I love bad nes games.
Bad NES games are seriously the best thing in the world wow <3 <3 <3 <3
my rich bf keeps telling me off for buying games and figures but it's his problem we have a joint account HAHA LOLOLOL WHEEEEE MONEY
'Murican here, can confirm. I fall into the third category, so that's no fun, but c'est la vie.
ok do u guys want to come live in my new house?? I have 2 cats tho but it's a nice country here with no silly upfront tuition fees... of course I think you might have to be a citizen/permanent resident but we'll work on that
