So I tried to Randomize FE7 and it worked (after a week of attempting) and later figured out how to patch in Arch's Tutorial Slayer and it said that it was "Successfully Patched" later I opened the game and I still got the Tutorial Messages and I couldn't progress because Lyn was a thief and I couldn't use a vulnerary since she took no damage.

 

Basically what am I doing wrong here? if I can't figure it out then I'm just gonne do FE8.

How about applying the tutorial slayer patch BEFORE randomizing FE7? You're supposed to patch clean roms.

sorry for the late response but I think it would be easier if you used a savestate with hard mode unlocked and just played on hard mode

in case you don't know how to use savestates, just rename it to the name of your ROM with a number at the end to indicate the savestate number, then hit like... F# or something on your computer (or use the menus) to load it

 

Example: If your ROM is FireEmblem.gba, name it FireEmblem1.gba, then hit F1 or something

 

Do this then start a new game on hard mode and I think it SHOULD work with the randomizer

 

Alternatively though try Blue Leafeon's suggestion.
