A series I decided to start now that I had finally located a decent video recording program. (Went with OBS. Thanks Zac!) My goal is to go back and play all the old games I used to play as a kid. As a sort of tribute, I guess, to the games that used to be my favorites.

My first video was really a trial run. It features Creatures 2: a virtual life simulator released back in 1998. Thanks to how old it is, I have to run it on Microsoft Virtual PC and an emulated Windows 95. It unfortunately is not without its problems, and I actually run into two during the recording.

I plan to actually do voice commentary in the future. (If I can ever figure out how to record my voice with OBS.)

My next planned games involve Creatures 3, and then I plan to do a mini-series of the original Petz games (before UBI Soft took the franchise over and killed it) starting with the first and going through to the fourth. After that, not quite sure what I'll do. I need to dig out my big collection of CD's and see what other ancient games I still have.

I'm somewhat open for suggestions, so long as I can actually obtain a copy of the game from somewhere.

Daggerfall is freeware now direct from Bethesda. Always a fun one if you're slightly masochistic.

^ I am sadly more of a sadist than a masochist.

I really want to go find and install my old PC games, but the fact that most old PC games were riddled with viruses on their CD's kind of keeps me from doing so.

Nonetheless, I finally figured out how to do voices and I sound terrible. Totally monotone. However, I did figure out while doing a trial FE8 voice-commented run that I am really good at deadpan snarking.

This topic isn't about that, though, so I will give you my next old PC game video:

To be honest, it's too old for me too. Or at least, Catz1 is. Creatures 2 I would enjoy if it were not constantly giving me problems. It just really doesn't like running on this comp, Virtual PC or not.

Catz 3:

I have Catz4 and Creatures 3 videos uploaded as well, but I don't think this forum would appreciate more than one video in a single post. Or at least, I know SF doesn't. lol
