So, I made this little game during my casual game module for my game design course, it's just a simple side-view shooter where you're an archer that needs to shoot down hordes of wyverns, some dracoknights while trying to avoid any Goddess Dragons while trying to get the highest score possible. Aside from becoming part of the leaderboard, if your hi-score is...high enough, you can unlock up to six new backgrounds so you're not stuck in the same village forever. The control instructions are ingame.

Aside from that there's three powerups you can get from time to time, most of them can be obtained either by letting them bump at you or shooting them, doing the latter adding 50 points to your score, these powerups are:

  • Double Attack (Uses Discipline skill icon): This one allows you to fire your arrows twice as fast for 6 seconds.
  • Knight Crest: Although your character is an archer, he can promote to a General with this Knight Crest. During this time, the player cannot be killed and enemies will die upon colliding with them, granting them half the points they would upon death. After 10 seconds, you'll revert back to an archer.
  • Ballista: Evokes three rains of large arrows across the entire battlefield, can only be activated if the player shoots it with an arrow.

As for the enemies, there's three types:

  • Dracoknight: Throws hand axes at you, however, firing the axe with an arrow will deflect both. Grants 30 points per kill, or 40 if hit by a deflected hand axe.
  • The Wyvern: A normal wyvern with no special features. Grants 10 points per kill, or 15 if hit by a deflected hand axe.
  • Goddess Dragon: The fastest of all, also invincible, forcing the player to switch places. If hit by the dragon, the player will lose 2 health, unlike all other foes and hand axes, who only subtract one from your health pool of 5.

I just hope you guys have fun with it. Oh, by the way, if you wanna submit your score? Just click the orange icon close to the "HI SCORE" in the main menu screen.

Not a true FE game, 0/10

anyway so like

I played it

it's not horrible but man it has a lot of issues that you probably know of XD. it would be fun if it just had some polish =P

since the game is very luck-based, I got some power-ups, they ran out, and then somehow a bunch of thingies ended up on top and there was no chance for me to switch to the top and fight them... so I gave up and just fought the ones on the bottom, and those spawned at a rate that I thought I would never lose

until one of the white dragon thingies came by and since they're invincible and the top lane looked like this

it was just an instant game over

RIP

kinda salty but y'know, whatcha gonna do =P

How many of them spawned at the same time, though? I'm asking because, whenever a lane had too many wyverns, I kept spamming arrows on that lane and only switched when one or two spawned on the other one, then switched back in the space between the wyverns, never something a bit of reflexes couldn't solve. By the way, keep switching lanes and firing arrows like there's no tomorrow, even when they're empty (except for the case I just poitned out), so you can avoid having one of them filled with too many wyverns. The invincible dragon is there exactly to force you to do it.

Also, do you know you can actually interrupt your shots by switch the lanes, so if you see you won't shoot in time, you can get out mid-"aiming"? (You probably know, I just want to be sure. >.>)

Not a true FE game, 0/10

I needed a class amid the Shadow Dragon sprites that could fit the Invicibility Item trope. >_>'
