Welp, I'm not sure about this. Catching Pokémon "in the real world" sounds interesting on the one hand, but I feel like I'll get bored with it pretty quick. But it's free to play, so w/e.

This sounds like a Christmas present to 8 year old me. Too bad I'm not 8 years old anymore. Anyways this sounds pretty damn cool, but I do agree that it would probably get stale. Also that smartwatch looks terrible to wear lol.

Sounds pretty exciting to me. I really like the concept, it's similar to something I've thought of before. Also, I use my phone a lot (have been for years; smartphones are just super useful especially for getting things done on the go), so I'm not really against mobile games or anything, I just think most of them aren't that fun or are designed obnoxiously (like even though Sonic Runners is fun [which I just recently tried], all the elements like pop-ups for new info, notices for extra purchasable content, and general information overload and whatnot are soooo annoying).

Anyway, kind of a shame this isn't coming until sometime 2016 but I'm definitely looking forward to it and will give it a chance. Also, I think that used appropriately, it won't become too stale; mobile games are often meant to be played like, "once in a while", not pursued very actively. Thus exists a problem when gamers who are used to pursuing a game actively/investing a lot of time into something try a mobile game and don't like it or think it gets stale quickly. The only you won't think it's stale, IMO, is if you like it so much you get addicted and don't mind playingit constantly/actively, but that usually also requires you to forfeit up $$$ (at least in these kinds of games), sooo...

What worries me is that Nintendo will put out say a mario game for free, but then make you pay for individual levels or level packs after a couple "demo" levels. That seems to be extremely popular with mobile game companies. Then again Nintendo is a fairly fan directed company,so I could be way off.

I just can't see this at all! I'm so confused on the design and I don't know how this would even work lol

My sentiments, exactly. I think the idea is cool but I just wonder how it'll work & what the exact capabilities and functions and such will be...

I also think the overall concept is cool, but... There are so many clarity issues in how this is going to work that I haven't gotten my hopes up yet.

Yeah, that's a good point. The trailer made it seem pretty hype, but this might end up being pretty boring or weird or impractical or... something. Then again, supposedly the dev is relatively experienced with this, so eh. I think it has a good chance of succeeding, but we'll definitely have to wait for more info or the actual app before saying this is good for sure--it could still be a flop, if it's really just not very entertaining as an app, lol
