@Blazer: Yeah I am still teaching. Going into my fourth year as a high school math teacher now. Crazy how fast time goes. I remember being in high school and being on the FE forums and when people first started hacking. I love teaching, and I love vacation (also part of the reason I'm back). And plus, this job allowed me to meet my girlfriend, who I am considering marrying some time in the future. It has really been a blessing.
Oh god the Lakers are terrible, but it has given me an opportunity to watch and appreciate other teams. The Lakers will always be my team. At least the Cavs got way better. How do you feel about that?
As for video games, I still play, though definitely not as much as I used to. I played FE13, and I heard there was another one coming out for 3DS. I will probably get that when it comes out. It's hard for me to get invested in some games with the time constraints and all, but I've been playing Destiny a lot (any PS4 Destiny players add me!!) as well as the new Batman game that just came out. Other than that, I've been playing games with no story and high replayability (sports games, fighting games, etc.).
Anyway, thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm looking forward to taking a peek at the hacking and spriting sections. I'll see you guys around.
EDIT: Oh wow. Apparently there is a new FE that just came out. I guess I came back at a good time then. Perhaps I'll get it when it comes out here in the US.

that's a good way to think about it and I like your loyalty, haha. i actually stopped being a Cavs fan a few years ago. Not right after Lebron left but rather I stopped liking the NBA and how it was run and the team balance 9or lack thereof0 and the referees and idk, I just wasn't enjoying watching the game/being invested it as much and gave up putting so much time into it. I still like basketball as a sport/playing it myself but I'm not an NBA or Cavs fan anymore. I watched some of the Finals just for the sake of not being out of the social loop, but I wasn't really hurt by us losing and I wasn't that excited about us winning either (though it'd be nice to fix my signature, loool).
ahh, fair, hey, you're doin' something, guess you have a PS4 then? add me if you want, my PSN ID should be BurningGravity, I don't have Destiny (though I think a Chilean member named Snow might), and I've still yet to play Batman though I think I have one or two from PS+... I know you suggested it some time ago and I've been wanting to play it ever since but the Batman Arkham series has more than just 1 or 2 games so I'm waiting for the right moment to try to get into it, I want to make sure I can give it the right amount of attention etc. haha, for that reason I tend to not start new series that often... it almost becomes a job trying to catch up with all the games in a series >_>;
yup, a new FE came out in Japan, they're callin' it "Fates", haha. It's a little weirder and... well, just quite a bit different from the older Fire Emblem games, but if you have a 3DS and have the time/money perhaps give it a try and see how it is and let us know, it should be comin' out sometime early 2016~ (my guess would be February)
Regardless, that's awesome and I'm honestly happy for you man. Reminds me how old we are now, haha. I forget I'm an adult sometimes, heh.
