Which do you prefer more, manga or the anime?

What I personally like to do is read the manga so I don't feel like I am missing out on anything, I can't possibly be spoiled by manga because I read it anyway, and it's pretty cool and hypes me up a little. I also watch the anime and since that is always behind the manga the anime reinforces what I read in the manga and it gives it some action which is always nice.

That is what I do so I don't prefer one over another but rather combine them into one great hobby, what about you guys? Discuss?

Animes. Barely watch them though because any one that is good has stupid childish stuff, like someone being exaggeratedly hit off into the distance, or crying waterfalls, or whatnot. Manga I don't like the style, and how perverted most of them are. Also the whole read backwards for most (if not all) is really annoying.

Manga, by far. Mostly because there's a much bigger selection of it, so there's something for everyone (important 'cause I have weird tastes).

Of Raven heart and Sable mind.

I see your point, but then again anime tends to be much more action packed and it has music and better effects and everything-- while manga might be more interesting at time and there IS a bigger variety of manga than anime (since anime are almost always based off of manga, but not all manga are made into anime but most anime are manga so yeah...)

I second that Manga give me a better story and with anime they might overlook certain parts in a manga when displayed on an anime.

I see what you mean, I totally forgot about that. Anime does cut some things out and they also add some things-- especially when the manga doesn't supply enough content for the creators to create however many minutes of video they need (for example, they animate the manga and have 17 minutes, but they need 23, so they add in little tiny scenes or joke lines or something and do minor things to add to it). But then again anime = animated and that can be a lot more interesting than starting at comic pictures. xP

I am a reading maniac, so I read Manga more than I watch anime. And all the good mangas are never on t.v. too.

Meh, I prefer Manga, mostly because Anime can't hold my attention, considering the amount of time it takes to watch because they drag it out. More talking.

Problem is, Manga is so expensive to buy. Graphic novels are freaking 8 bucks, and I read them in minutes. I suppose that's where OneManga comes in XD

Both but manga is farther along in the story and doesn't have fillers.

I prefer manga because the fights are better paced instaed of

Also i love the drawings in the manga

Some anime characters have very whiny voices which is also annoying

I still say manga is worse, simply cause of how bad graphic novels are becoming. Innovative has died. Sadly enough. Same with books in general, hell look at Twilight. Case proven. Then again, same with everything.

I prefer manga. Like u said anime cuts things out. Plus in manga there is no annoying commercials to tick u off. But I like seeing anime after reading the manga. Its like it puts some physical action and movement into what I've read.
Hey everyone! If you're a KH or FF fan, please come to Castle Oblivion to discuss things about them!

Anime is cool for enacting battle scenes and the voices and stuff like that but manga is always ahead of the story in the anime and it brings more emotion and depth to it at times. Unfortunately it takes a fraction of the time to read manga compared to watching anime. tongue.gif

I'd have to say anime will get me more pumped and as of late I will have to say I prefer anime over manga (in contrast to my first post where I had a mixture).
