Seems like it's coming to 3DS and Vita, but it won't be here for at least a year so I personally have a while to catch up on the series. dang backlog
on a side note, aksys is releasing more 3DS and Wii U eShop games
but yeah, ZE3. how hype are you?

(I am way too freakin' hyped. It's ABOUT time. I know the director said that it was hard to drum up interest for it, but I'm so glad the series will finally get its conclusion. It's only been several years since Virtue's Last Reward, so I'm hoping the wait was worth it.)

Glad to hear it XD It seems they're really hoping the fans are going to carry this game, so hopefully it pans out and it sells well! I'll do my best to play the rest in time for this one so I can buy this one and support, but you hardcore fans need to somehow convince people to buy it I guess XD the article I linked to just really made it sound like this can't happen without the fan's support and that if it releases and does poorly they'll probably never have another game like it again

I was looking up new info on the hiatus of ZE3 just last week (apparently it got number 1 on some ranking site for games people wanted to see, above things like Persona 5, hot damn) and I had heard there was some kind of teaser on the aksys site that looked ZE3 related, but nothing had been confirmed yet. I'm so glad the fanbase pulled through with all the campaigns, the ZE series has always had its sleeper success from the overseas fanbase (like 70 to 80 percent from what I've seen) and when I heard they weren't making the third yet due to lack of success in japan, I died a bit inside.

well I have a huge backlog in general haha, it's nothing I could list, I've pretty much got at least a few if not several games for each system that I already own and need to be finished or played, and then I've got a ton of games I don't have yet that I need to play, so probably I think I'd need to beat about 7-8 games before I could justify buying and starting yet another a new game on my backlog of games I've yet to buy and start lol (I'd probably start with 999 and go from there) XP

All of them. And whatever special edition exists. And whatever watch they're selling this time (I am actually quite proud that I own one of the 999 pre-order...despite it having zero ability to tell time and loses about 2 minutes a day...and that I paid about ~100 for it).
Why? Did someone else want one?

Edit - Well, that's why. I forgot Aksys hates non-USA and ignores their very existence. If memory serves, this is why I had to get VLR in a store instead...no international shipping apparently.

and I don't think this is kind of game that would benefit from having a console release, especially on freaking PS3, can we please move on from the PS3 already? >_>;
also, the 3DS has a way larger install base than the Vita so if you're complaining about it being on both handhelds, I'd freaking drop the Vita version and get the 3DS one, lol. granted, I think it's good having it on both: they're different hardware systems and people who only have one or the other can both get it, and if you have a preference, boom.
in other words, I think whoever said this stuff was kinda dumb *shot*

Amazon stocked more and didn't tell me. I compulsively checked though so I ended up with a copy (3DS and Vita). Good enough for me.

To be fair, the Vita version of VLR sold about 70% as well as the 3DS version...so it's not exactly a small market they're looking at keeping it on Vita (especially given the small Vita fanbase in comparison to the 3DS fans). The development costs of a Vita port are pretty expensive...but I would suspect it balances out.
Also gives me an excuse to buy both a 3DS and a Vita version now

No doubt that 999 and VLR on 3DS means that is has to come out on 3DS. I think the thing is that after VLR, you can argue that the series has PS roots too now. It's not like the 3DS and Vita aren't similar in many regards anyways to how they handle such a game anyways.

fair
the development infrastructure is very different though; even the aspect ratios are different, and one has 2 screens vs. having 1 screen (on that note, as cool as the 3DS can be, I kinda wish they'd make a more standard console since the 3DS being as unique as it is makes it hard for people to dev games, esp. ones that aren't exclusives...)
