I'm usually clicking the "View New Content" button because we never have enough activity to warrant limiting myself to a specific subforum so I can avoid overlooking any active threads that aren't visible from the front page. On the other hand this does have a problem of constantly showing me threads that I really don't feel like entering(like the "What do you look like" thread) that constantly have that bolded "look at me I'm new!" sign stuck on it. I haven't been able to find a "Mark as read" function on this forum if it has one.

i usually just look a the front page to start with,and then go to any threads i'm interested in to see if anything has been posted in them. don't really have a system to looking at stuff though, just sorta look at whatever comes to mind first.

I also click view new content. When there's too many threads that I don't want to post in I check on my ohone and hit the "mark all as read option", because for some reason i can't do it on a computer XD
This won't be removed until Chile wins the World Cup - Started 24/06/12
BTW, I take map requests if anyone wants to make one XD, just send me a PM and I'll most likely accept. If you wanna see some of previous work you can visit my gallery here, I'd skip to the end because I've improved alot XD.

Oh, I found it. It was marked "Mark Community Read" at the bottom of the screen (in red text on a red background...x:)
As long as I can get "Content I have not read" to stay as my default setting for "View New Content" I shouldn't have a problem now.

I usually just go through the most recent posts on the forums, and for some forums I'll check the actual thread list to see if I missed anything. I usually don't go doing the "view new content" thing for whatever reason. I guess I'm just not in the habit and don't really care for it >>;

ahh, so the usual Cero stuff
in other news, computers. we use them to browse FES. (myself included: it's super rare I use my phone, even though I think the new forum software or w/e has decent mobile support...)
