This fall, IIRC
Here's a trailer
So the rumors were true (go figure, they popped up QUITE a bit, lol; wasn't a very well-kept secret). Aside from a PS4 port of an originally PS3 game, the game's also going to be launched on PC (Steam, presumably?) which I find interesting.
Here were my comments on hearing that it's coming to PC:
[2:53:21 PM] ballin1337: thing is even though it sucks
[2:53:36 PM] ballin1337: it might actually do pretty well because Steam (I'm assuming it'd be on Steam) doesn't get a lot of JRPGs
[2:53:42 PM] ballin1337: meaning there isn't much competition
[2:53:49 PM] ballin1337: it's NEVER had a Tales of game before, to my knowledge
[2:54:11 PM] ballin1337: and ToZ was designed to be more casual with the pseudo-open-world and not-really-seamless-but-they-call-it-that-anyway battle transitions
So yeah, thoughts? Anyone excited or planning to get it? Unless they say they not only fixed all the technical issues but also somehow fixed some other problems, I won't be getting it. And if I do get it it'll be when it's like, $9.99 or something stupidly cheap. I played the Japanese version and even with the bias of it being a Tales of game (I was quite the fan) with real-time action combat (something I like) I still mostly complained about it, so yeah.
EDIT: oh yeah here's a facebook page for Zestiria https://www.facebook...lesofzestirians
