Sorry about that. I just got an e-mail saying they fixed the issue. The short version is that the mySQL servers (something out of my control) went down or something (the e-mail literally says "It was MySQL service problem", so yeah...).
Though I really hope this doesn't happen again, keep in mind that we have both a mainsite (http://www.feshrine.net) and a twitter (http://www.twitter.com/fireemblembuzz) both of which are potential methods of communication in case something happens. The forums are actually now hosted on the same server as the mainsite, but they don't actively use mySQL (only a small portion does), so they can sometimes run fine even if the forums are down. But if the whole server for the site goes down, there's also the Twitter, and plenty of other ways to contact me (Skype, e-mail, text).
Anyway, not that it was really my fault, but sorry for the trouble and thanks for your understanding.
