So, I ask you guys. Does anyone here play Starcraft II? And by extension, for those who do, opinions on the new LotV units and how it will change gameplay?
I play Zerg.

haha I feel ya, I lost most of the people I play with etc. and that's part of why I stopped playing
that being said I would be willing to play with you. However, I don't have the latest expansion or whatever and idk if I'll get it near launch or anything. In fact, I know very little about it as a whole. Also, at some point I was reduced to mostly playing custom games, but I can play normal SCII too, lol, I'm just kind of bad and don't want to figure out the new meta (it's time-consuming and I lack the interest right now).
I'll have to go find my info so we can add each other, if you're interested in playing

I would definitely be interested in playing. Do not fear, however, as I am also really bad. We could also play custom games, too. Extreme Dodgeball is very fun with more than one person, and I might have an additional two people who would play that.

So I don't know much about Starcraft 2 though I'm not much of an MMO person myself. Is this the game that you have to use real money to buy ships? I vaguely remember an article about an MMO war were tens of thousands of dollars were lost because of an online war XD

This won't be removed until Chile wins the World Cup - Started 24/06/12
BTW, I take map requests if anyone wants to make one XD, just send me a PM and I'll most likely accept. If you wanna see some of previous work you can visit my gallery here, I'd skip to the end because I've improved alot XD.

I think you are thinking of Planetside 2.
Starcraft is a real-time strategy game where you control one of three intergalactic races that tries to destroy your opponent through warfare.

Awesome. I probably can't play this week because of finals, but I can probably play sometime next week. Maybe you can join me for some hardcore Starcraft Dodgeball.

ahhh okay, I don't really feel like learning any new games though, I'm only familiar with like Hero Attack or whatever (the SCII MOBA) and Elite Forces or whatever >< and well the main games ofc, I'm not terrible at those, I'm guessing I could hold my own in gold league with a bit of practice (definitely not diamond/masters like I used to be though)

Speaking of which, Noel has been urging me to 6 pool you in the game we play. I have no idea why.

Believe me, that's already considerably better than me. I've only been playing for a short period of time. You would have god skillz compared to me.

haha I see, well we can try it out, if you stink too much it's no fun, you gotta GIT GUD =P
also 6pooling is an old joke of sorts, it's one of the easiest rushes and it works pretty well because if you don't scout it and/or are too slow/poor at micro to defend, it can result in a very quick and stupid loss that doesn't really test either player on most of the game skills (it's super easy to 6pool someone). granted no offense but if we were to 1v1 it probably wouldn't work on me even if I'm out of practice lol, my micro is pretty solid and a simple cheese like that wouldn't work. a well-done cannon rush or 2gate proxy or something might be a different story XP

OH MAN I forgot about that, uh, Squadron Tower Defense! I think that's what it was called. yeah man, that was fun even though Lancer was there and he was really stupid a lot of the time
the game must've changed so much though, totally not willing to go back and play it again haha. just going to leave that in the past, probably. it was also SUPER time consuming, like let's be real, games could take an hour XD.
and yeah you and Lancer were meh and I wasn't thaaat much better, though I did tryhard and GIT GUD at one point and so did Lancer (though Lancer was really stubborn about things, like how he thought roaches were super OP/good and some other small things I can't remember where he just WOULDN'T FREAKING LISTEN TO US loool)

I've been meaning to pick it up, but the price tag and my backlog are holding me back. At the moment, I just can't justify spending that much on a game I don't intend to play exclusively for a while. Also, I think my laptop can't handle it, but eh.

hmm, really? I guess we just have very different standards, haha. also as long as your internet isn't terrible and your computer has like 2GB of RAM and a decent processor, you should be ok on the lowest settings... but it's definitely a little more enjoyable on the highest settings (IMO; I played it on low settings for like years first tho lol) and at the time it launched it was one of the more uh, graphically intensive games, so yeah. can't really say that about it now though, what with games having better/more demanding graphics and physics engines and such

When I had to play it on lower settings and had shit framerate, I actually stayed away from playing Zerg because of how much micro they need to be effective, and just played Terran. Now that I have higher settings and the game runs smoothly, I found that playing Zerg was way more fun.
plus Zerg has DAT CREEP which only makes the framerate drop even lower, from my experience, lol
I'm more of a Protoss guy, but I can play a decent Terran too. And well, I *can* play Zerg, I'm just not good with it (i think it's partially my general mentality/how I approach things doesn't really suit the Zerg approach to fighting in SCII or whatever)
