I'm alright with this idea!! Haha. I've been kinda wanting to start doing them myself, but I'm so shy and I don't like talking by myself and would enjoy having a co-commentator or two help me along and make me not seem so awkward. <:

B. Do you mean commenting? Or something else that isn't commitment because I have no idea what you meant by that second line XD

Yeah I'd love to do group let's plays. I'm kinda really boring by myself. Well, if you start doing it I'll definitely watch. I love bad nes games.

NO LIKE COMMITMENT ISSUES cos I would probably do 1 or start to do one and then never actually finish it or anything and you know I'm just a bad person

Haha, I dunno about that! I found it weird that people say I have an accent, especially around here. Plus my voice is a bit deeper than I would like, but I've been trying things to fix that up with barely any results. xD

I believe OBS can do that just fine. Besides recording, it can also stream and everything too! If you need help with it, just let me know. I have it in with the LP crowd from SomethingAwful and they'd be more than happy to help out. 
I can ask questions for you and they're always willing to help out.
Which is better than I can say for the rest of the website, haha.

Yeah I've used OBS previously for streaming purposes and for recording footage purposes for a few videos perviously and it worked out rather well.
For video editing purposes, you could probably try out a few free trials of stuff to see if you like anything.
Sony Vegas is generally the premiere rendering program which also has a free trial (that I guess you could just reinstall over and over again) but it's pretty complicated so you might need to look up a guide on shortcuts it has and stuff.

I prefer Fraps as well, but OBS is pretty much an all in one and it's free. Plus I never had to adjust screen sizes? I've created a bunch of presets that seem to work out just fine. 
Or are there advance techniques I don't know about?? I could stand to learn a bit more about the programs I use. Haha. I still don't even know how to use Photoshop properly!

oh wait nevermind, I found an easy to use one - LoiLo Game Recorder. Now I have to play around with things. It came with some trial of video editing software too.

Hmm. There should be settings to capture a selection of a certain window to make it easier. I'm at work right now but I should check it out when I get home. I'll keep you posted on it though! I do remember having a VBA setting when I streamed a few GBA games so I'll look them over.
I can't remember if OBS records in 60fps, either. I know Fraps does which makes it better by default if so. Haha.
