Hey guys, I need your help with something, it's something I did on Gamefaqs a few years back but I think all the posts have been deleted.

This is self explanatory, You all rate the Character of the Day on a scale 1-10, but this series will have the ratings separated in four categories: Main Game, Postgame, Characterization, and Personal.

QUOTE
Main Game-This will address how well the character performs and contributes in the main story campaign.

Postgame-This will tackle how much usefulness characters have in the postgame/DLC content. Be it through being an active unit, supporting unit, or how good a parent the character can be for the 2nd gen. (This only applies to Fe:8)

Characterization-This will be how much you liked the character in the supports or story.

Personal- This category will be how how was YOUR experience with the character, like getting RNG Blessed or Screwed, the recruitment chapter they had, etc.

Here we go again people, another day, 0 dollars. What do we have in store for you today?

Fe:6
Day 13: Lugh

Main Game: 7/10. Recruited early and has decent stats. Can get magic screwed, however. He's pretty much your main mage until/if you want to use Lillina.
Characterization: 2/10. I don't know if he has one outside of talks with Chad and Ray.
Personal: 6/10. My Lughs are never really that good, to be honest....always average. But nothing has Res in this game so even average magic is powerful.

Fe:7
Day 13: Priscilla

Main Game: 7/10. Mounted healers are nice, and can promote relatively easily through secret shop + barrier staff abuse. Her one downfall is that her Con is pretty bad, so she can't really use much other than fire/thunder without penalty. But high speed and the fact that she's more of a staffbot than a combat unit kinda offset this.
However, the absence of an S rank staff in this game makes using staffs past promotion (for fear of S ranking) risky if you want her to use Excalibur or something.

Characterization: 6/10. She's got some nice supports, and I find those with Sain quite entertaining.

Personal: 8/10. I don't train staff users often, but Priscilla always turns into one kick-ass valkyrie for me.

Fe:8
Day 13: Joshua

Main Game: 7/10. Starts slow because of myrmidon low base strength and no horse (plus, you start to face more lance users after he's recruited) but if you keep at it, he's one of the better swordmasters in the series. He can get strength screwed, though, but most enemies in Fe8 are easy enough that he can one-round mostly everything, bar generals/cyclopses, with silver/killer swords with 15-20 strength.

Characterization:8/10. Entertaining character, and he turns out to be one of those minor characters that plays a role in the story, which is always nice. Also, Joshua vs Caellach is one of the best boss conversations in the series, imo.

Personal: 6/10. My Joshuas are either blessed or screwed. Nothing in between.

Lugh is like the one on the sidelines who waves the pom-poms when it comes to his relationship with Chad and Ray.

Agree on Joshua/Caellach. Fe8 could have been so much more if IS hadn't been so lazy with their design.

Lugh
Main Game: 7. De-fault! Two sweetest words in the English dictionary. Simpsons quotes aside, he's pretty much the guy you ask to carry the load for magic. Lilina can be used in his stead, but that's personal preference. And your personal preference is wrong tongue.gif

Characterization: 2. Points were for semblance of personality. Poor guy doesn't get much.

Personal: 6. Never really experienced the all too worrisome magic screw overs.

Priscilla
Main Game: 9. She's in a tough spot. Serra will be massively stronger. Her stats also tend to favour useless stats by a decent margin (skill isn't a huge issue, luck is a dump stat) while taking strikes in the key ones (speed). But she's also got a horse, can easily catch up, is basically needed to grab one of the best units in the game, and is still apparently into SisCon. Wait. Scratch that last one.

But she's also a medic. And FE loves having you heal stuff. Having her support with Serra will provide massive relief to your stretched forces early. Even late game, I don't even care if she gets S in staves as she probably won't be wielding anything important anyways. Serra can be a concern if you want to hand her Light weapons, but Priscilla likely won't take Excalibur for...many reasons. Either way, she does an amazing job and her mounted medic status is worth a lot to your team.

Characterization: 7. I've always been interested in the personality of her. She plays pretty well for the character design. Sweet, adorable, naive to the point of insanity. Yet all her supports are purely about love and their tragedy most of the time. It's a cool dichotomy.

Personal: 5. Ho hum. Nothing interesting happens with her...she does her job, she survives what I expect her to survive. She does to what I expect her to die to. Then I restart the chapter because screw letting her die.

Joshua
Main Game: 5. Pretty much a middle of the road pick. He's offensively useful, albeit inconsistent, and has great speed to be blessed with as speed rules. Defensively a work in progress no matter how far you go and will likely warrant a lot of healing if you ask him to block paths since lances will still hit with reasonable frequency.

Characterization: 7. Be honest. You didn't see that coming. Joshua, if you put together his past with Caellech, is pretty interesting to read and what I always hope out of Fire Emblem. Interesting mix of that and wanting to bury the past by not really mentioning it anywhere else in the game.

Personal: 3. No. Sorry, but you're on the bench. Your head is an axe magnet. Get off the field, now.
