Never done one of these runs before, but it sounds fun, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's also been a while since I've played Fe7, so we're going with that (me not remembering everything due to extended absence may add a touch of difficulty). Because I'm using an emulator and not a physical copy for this run, I may record some later chapters.

If you don't know what a casualty run is (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)
It's a playthrough where one character is killed off per chapter, at random, chosen from the beginning of the chapter. So, essentially, investing in any unit is risky as they can die at any moment. I'll be using random.org to do this, so every character is assigned a number from 1-whatever, in order by recruitment. (ex Marcus 1, Lowen 2)

Notes:
1. Lyn, Eliwood, Hector obviously immune
2. Game will be played starting at chapter 11 (skipping Lyn mode) on Eliwood Hard Mode due to my ROM not having access to HHM, and my physical copy of the game being lent to a friend.
3. A character will be killed off every chapter, starting at chapter 11. May be increased to two characters per chapter once more units are recruited.
4. Characters who join mid-chapter cannot die until the next chapter. (Ex Dorcas and Bartre cannot die in chapter 11.) However, characters who are auto-recruited on turn 1 (such as Dart and Isadora) are eligible to die that chapter.
5. This is also an ironman run, so no restarting chapters because of character death (aside from lords)

This run will have a lot of death

Character Numbers (mostly for my own reference but you can take a gander anyway) (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

1. Marcus
2. Lowen
3. Rebecca
4. Dorcas
5. Bartre
6. Oswin
7. Serra
8. Matthew
9. Guy
10. Erk
11. Priscilla
12. Sain

30 Karel /Harken

* route dependent
** unrecruitable on Eliwood mode, so not eligible to die

Death Count (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

Ch 11- Rebecca
Ch 12- Lowen
Ch 13- Bartre (YES)
Ch 13x- Dorcas
Ch 14- Marcus
Ch 15- Oswin
Ch 16- Florina

So, without further ado, here's chapter 11.

Chapter 11 (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

Mainly used Eliwood (after he stole Marcus's steel sword) and Lowen with some chipping from Dorcas and Bartre. Bartre actually managed to hit the boss twice with a hand axe so Eliwood could snag the finisher.

Pretty sure Karla is Hector mode only for some reason or another.

Also Rebecca's my favorite FE archer. :C

@Oblivion Oh right, she is Hector only. Thanks, I'll remove her from the list.

So, here's chapters 12-16 it goes surprisingly fast at emulator speed. I'll take more screenshots when chapters get more interesting. Also there are a lot of weird center tags everywhere and I don't fee like fixing them right now.

I’m stoked my lords are turning out good.

AAAAAND 13x. Did I mention I'm doing all sidequests? (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

First thing’s first…
user posted image

Got down to 5 hp by second enemy phase BUT DIDN’T DIE UNTIL THE VERY LAST TURN. He even dodged the boss. Someone felt it was too soon to go, but, alas.

user posted image
Please don’t die I need you

Chapter 14! Also known as Bobryk jinxed himself (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

Before I begin, Oswin was supposed to die this chapter, but…none of the enemies could actually hurt him except Eric (1 damage). His horseslayer would’ve broken before killing Oswin. So I had to RNG someone else. Oswin will die next chapter if any enemies can hurt him

user posted image
MARCUSSSSSSSSS it was actually really convenient that Eric has a horseslayer on this mode

Got Erk and Guy some leveling action. Guy’s turning nicely, Erk is average. Lords still going strong. I wonder how long this core team will last

NOBLE LADY OF SCRUBS (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

[center]
So the RNG made this chapter so much freaking harder than it should’ve. Erk missed with a 90%, 94% (both killing blows) that almost resulted in him getting killed. Some archer dodged 4 75%+ attacks in a row. Sain missed most of the time. I’m surprised no one else died >.>

user posted image
I’ve never been so happy to see you scrubs. Yay I have mounts again!

user posted image
Typical Erk.

user posted image
Good enough

user posted image
MUCH USEFULNESS

user posted image
Funny, I had a similar reaction when you got RNG’d to die.

Chapter 16 why is this text smaller than the rest (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

So, up to this point I’ve basically lost everyone I put effort into training, plus the strongest units in Marcus and Oswin. Earlygame doesn’t give me many options, so I kinda expected it anyways. Less characters = a higher chance someone I use will end up dead early on. Now that I have a few scrub units (and invincible Lyn), hopefully the RNG has some mercy so I can build up a core team again. I also get Raven in this chapter, so that makes me happy.

This chapter was a giant pain in the ass without leveled mounted units. SO MANY ARCHERS.

user posted image

“Once per chapter, you seem to throw out one random person with no equipment into the heat of battle, watching them suffer and squirm until they fall. Also, I’m dead. Keep up the good work!” 10/10 advice. Thanks, Marcus.

user posted image
See, I’m torn on whether I should feel lucky or not. I wasn’t planning to use Florina so it’s okay that she’s dead, but her dying now means I can’t recruit Fiora, who would’ve been useful as extra RNG fodder, if nothing else. So this death is essentially two for one killing two birdhorses with one stone.

user posted image
8 for 8?

user posted image
Better

user posted image
I don’t know of a more typical Guy level up.

user posted image
Eh, his Str and Def are solid so this is okay. There were a few more but I didn’t feel like screenshotting.

user posted image
Kent’s bases are weird if you ignore Lyn’s mode. More strength than speed now? Wat

user posted image
Ah, that’s more like the Kent I’m used to!

user posted image
Luck higher than strength. Thanks, Lyn. Whatever you’re invincible.

user posted image
SPEEEEEED

user posted image
PLEASE DON’T DIE

user posted image
Defense is nice.

user posted image
(This screenshot was taken after the hit- archer reduced him to 1 HP)

Funnily enough, he had 22/24 HP and I was like “eh, there’s a lot of archers around and you never know, I should use a vulnerary in the off-chance he’ll need that extra HP.” And, uh, I guess I was right!

user posted image
Starting to slow down a bit, but still good.

That's all for now!

Wait. You don't do calculations to see how much likely damage he'll take? I always count up who is in range, what their chances of hitting are, and how hard they'll hit in these simpler FE games.

Man, now I feel like a math nerd.

This is hilarious. Your hatred of Bartre is just so genuine, I love it.

^I do that but I can't be arsed calculating hit-rates most of the time and just look at damage.

I think the not checking fits the gung-ho style of this run haha

I do the checking thing too.

...I don't remember the values beyond the vaguest thing most of the time though. (like, I can go up to a guy...and think "9 damage? Ehh it's not bad enough" but if it's 10 damage suddenly it seems a lot more dangerous >.>)

I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.

I generally don't check because I know the games well enough that I can just guestimate and do fine. But yes I may be the only guy who doesn't play it safe during ironman runs XD. I'm also lazy.

The thing that almost screwed Sain was the guy with the steel bow.

Mr. Steel Bow man always waltzes in and destroys somebody.

That one time I brought Florina to that chapter was an exercise in using up all my luck to dodge archer shots.

I haven't had any luck since.

Now that I've recuperated from my birthday festivities, here's the next few chapters!

Enjoy more of this masochistic, yet hilarious, playthrough!

16x! The port of pirate stuff (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

So with my current team and lack of resets, I didn’t think I could kill all the tougher pirates + Damian. (I usually send someone fast with a killing edge and hope they crit/dodge stuff, so without resets, such a rigged strategy is kinda risky.) BUT, I managed to do it by baiting them from the north, by the shop (which doesn’t look like it, but the space to the right of the shop is a chokepoint). Chose to field Guy instead of Raven because he had all-around better stats, and this chapter can be bad if you screw something up.

TL;DR PIRATES DEAD BOBRYK WINS

THE ODDS WERE NOT IN YOUR FAVOR:

user posted image
My Erk was merely average, but I do like Erk as a character so this is a bit sad. Pent please

But that’s okay because he’s replaced with….
user posted image
…Canas, who struts his stuff with a stanky first level. I guess this is one of the better mono-stat level ups…

user posted image
Is this actually better because IDK

user posted image
With some RES as a bonus! He’s trying really hard to be the guy.

user posted image

More RES! Weeee

user posted image

More RES…?Now I’m getting a bit scared. magic tank

user posted image

Just testing out my new 3D screenshot taker. Dat 1.

user posted image
More healing power…?

user posted image
<3
user posted image
Not as much <3, but what’s with all the res this chapter? Figures everyone except Priscilla would level it.

Obligatory ship map (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

Not a bad chapter. Used it to level Lucius, Canas, Sain and Guy with a little Eliwood on the side. Didn’t deploy Matthew to steal the Guiding Ring because 1: Wanted to train Lucius, 2: Could be dangerous , as I need Sain to help kill things instead of rescuing Matthew and 3: I may not have any mages to promote because of the RNG. I get plenty of rings anyway.

user posted image

Boy, am I glad I chose Guy over you that last chapter. Thank you for killing that one archer in that one chapter. It was really helpful to my success, I swear.

user posted image

Damn it, Canas, why

user posted image
Eliwood the tank? I guess.

user posted image
Meh, speed is always sweet. Still one of my best units

user posted image
I know Canas is softening people up for you but you should probably stop taking advice from him. Mono-level ups aren’t cool.

user posted image
Much better. Also, I never really noticed, but his bases are fantastic.

user posted image
Avoid those crits, yo. I have a feeling I’ll lose him to a stray crit. Slim stuff can be scary.

user posted image

Gross.

FROLICKING THROUGH THE FOREST (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)

This chapter always annoys me because of Fog of War. Those nomads can come out of nowhere and snipe a weak little mage Lucius, so I took things slow and carefully. This chapter caused me my first actual restart because Eliwood got killed. I also got the torch staff, which will probably come in handy one or two times.

Oh and this is the first multi-death chapter of the run.

user posted image
TANK MAGE UP IN HERE

user posted image
Strength is nice, but, man, you’ve slowed down. I sad.

user posted image
Chipping Uhai to 1 hp like a boss. Also, way to speed.

user posted image
Yay? I think I may have missed the level but oh well.

user posted image
<333333

user posted image
Such a defensive level up. Special mention to Eli for setting this up.

user posted image

Lyn’s newfound purpose in life is to take down slow axe wielders.

user posted image
Matthew gets skewered, but hey, decent level.

user posted image
Eh, skill and res is nice.

user posted image
Strength also nice.

But wait, where are the deaths? Don’t worry…here they are!

user posted image

Well…at least I can just sell all those hero crests, because, y’know EVERYONE ABLE TO USE THEM IS DEAD.

He gets some extra points for being one of the only earlygame units to survive this far. (Earlygame meaning 11-14 or so.) You shall be missed!

Special mention:

user posted image
You would get a great level up while dying. Damn it, Guy.

user posted image

The second death! Well, I couldn’t do much about this because Florina got punk’d in chapter 16, so I let Fiora fly around and weaken people until she got sniped. We thank you for your humble sacrifice.

That's all for now, folks.

Lucius always turns out to be a beast in every playthrough for me. Capping most everything if he feels like it (except luck) His bases, as you say are ridiculous I think he stole them from Bartre
