From being a light novel to becoming an anime, the Gun Gale Online arc is going to become part of the SAO anime! Thoughts?

Sorry for doubting you but could you share a link? I googled this but I can't find a mention that GGO is being made into an anime, all I can find is stuff about the Extra Edition episode.

My excitement cannot be expressed with mere words.

Though I am somewhat disappointed by how they did not include Kirito's skin color change (it was supposed to become darker than his normal one in ALO too. And his "updated" normal skin color generally seems to be lighter when considering Alicization illustrations.)

I'm excited haha, SAO is one of my favorite animes, haters gon' hate but I like the music, style, and action scenes, as well as Kirito and Asuna as characters (Klein and Egil are also okay, I don't really care for the others though haha).

I hope they put solid effort into this and aren't lazy with the execution just because they can expect people to watch it since SAO was popular and people will probably at least give it a chance if they liked SAO (then again the fairy dance arc or w/e of SAO's first season got a lot of hate so maybe people won't watch it out of fear for it being bad... idk people react waaaay too much wish they could just enjoy things like me XD).

but yeaaaah I'll continue to watch the anime on Toonami to support it and if I ever strike gold (doubt it) buying the Blu-rays would also be cool haha

All of SAO gets a lot of hate.

The sheer amount of unreasonable hate (like I notice tons of people point out problems...which are usually answered...but even I, a fan of the series, notice plenty of ACTUAL issues with how it does things) made me think, "Hey, isn't the Twilight fandom like this too? Maybe I should risk permanently killing some of my brain functions check Twilight out just to see if what they're hating on has just as unreasonable reasons." And I really did. And I did find out it wasn't as bad as the haters said it was.

Not that it was at all fun or well written anyway (and I thought Carlyle or whatever he was called looked more handsome than Edward and Jacob) but there's a ton of things people exaggerate/twist so hard it would make journalists jealous. (At least for the first three. I couldn't endure the agony involved in watching FOUR of them.)

not that i'm going to watch this arc for much more than OMG LONG HAIR KIRITO ANIMATED since i'm not that into Sinon's conflicts...though i'm also very excited for Mother's Rosario later on despite how little Kirito does in that arc

Awesome, I hope they do Alicinacion (probably spelled this wrong) too, it was the arc I liked the mosteven though I never got to finish reading it XD.

I did this too, but I read the books instead of watching the movies, because if the books were decent I could blame the, IMO, terrible first one on it being a movie. While the books weren't as bad as people made them sound, they weren't good enough to deserve all the hype IMO.

Haha I haven't read any of the light novels since I'm not a fan of reading much and I'd prefer not to know what's going to happen in the anime + it's just not the same with full visuals to me so yeah... it's true SAO gets a lot of hate too, it's another one of those series where most people seem to either totally hate it, totally love it, or are totally indifferent, haha. I mean, I noticed flaws too, but I notice flaws in almost every show, I just don't overreact to it and act like an arrogant prick who declares a show as undeniably good or bad etc. etc., ultimately a lot of it comes down to personal preference and SAO is a show that appeals to me, what can I say? XD

Alicization is too big for this season unless it's like 60 episodes. Unless you mean like, in the third season or something. (As for when that would come, I can't even guess, when considering how long it took for them to announce a second season for something as big of a cashcow as SAO is.)

I think they annoucned the EXTRA EDITION episode a while ago and they had almost definitely planned to announce SAOII by then and it was timed purposely to be at the end of the year as part of a "great way to end 2013"/hype thing... and as for not doing it even earlier, I dunno, but things probably just worked out like that and such, not simple to go starting whole new anime seasons after all... not to mention the voice actors are busy with the SAO video games lolol
