1. Hi, welcome to FES

2. This should probably have been posted in the Questions subforum. Most likely someone *coughShucough* will move it, but keep that in mind next time.
3. I really like the mug you have as your avatar, but the colors are very off. I think you used the paint colors? Try getting the colors you want from FE mugs, that way it looks closer to the mugs that are in the game
4. I sadly have no idea why you got that error message, though if I had to guess it might mean that the image/animation you're trying to insert is too big?

This won't be removed until Chile wins the World Cup - Started 24/06/12
BTW, I take map requests if anyone wants to make one XD, just send me a PM and I'll most likely accept. If you wanna see some of previous work you can visit my gallery here, I'd skip to the end because I've improved alot XD.

The reason why you get that error may have to do with the palette not being set up right, i.e. the transparent color isn't what it should be (check a tutorial for info on this), or the sprite you're using may be too big--sadly you can't use the whole space given to you, the sprite can only take so many "tiles" and if it takes more than that FEditor Adv will complain. It's unfortunate, but that's how it is...

I just started working on my FE-Hack and wanted to look how far I could get without any help (aside of the awesome tutorials).
So first off: Thanks a lot for the astounding work regarding the Ultimate Tutorial by Blazer and everyone else who did really awesome work with other tutorials as well. Thanks a lot

Now as to what my problem is: I tried to insert a test-animation and all seemed fine, but the colors that load ingame are rather unexpected. Could this have to do with the character palette or is this something else?

I used the .txt template from Blazers Ultimate Tutorial and as mentioned before, FEditor Adv had no problems at all, but, as you can see, ingame is not what I asked for xD
This is what my character should look like:
I hope you can see it clearly :X
I would appreciate any help greatly

Thank you very much beforehand!

you need to set the character palette to the right one which is probably "default colors" i.e. the colors of the class not the individual character

It is the same with puzzles. Sometimes you just go blind and need help from others or a break to find the missing piece yourself. So I might have solved the problem myself today, but since I am rather impatient and like to communicate with other humans, I asked here.
After all that is what this forum is for, is it not?
(Also if you read carefully you would see, that I actually suspected the palette being the root of my problem, but somehow I preferred asking for help rather than simply trying it out...)

Anyhow, seems like you fixed it, it's no biggie, glad it was something simple!

What reason could there be, that the animation won't move? I loaded my script into Feditor Adv and got no errors. But when I load the game and attack, I only see the standing frame. He won't move. He just stands still, the HP of the enemy drop magically and thats it. No movement at all (the enemy moves normally though, no blackscreen, crash or whatever).
What could be the reason for this?
I am rather clueless, since everything looks good to me.
I'm sorry if I'm annoying, but I can't find the problem. I tried various positions (more to the back, a bit more up or down, etc.), but he never moves.
I would really appreciate any help here D:
