So you can hex edit the ps3 version's save now. You don't need CFW or any console mods either.

Download PS3 save resigner (its free and safe, you don't need xploder)


Copy your save over to your computer

Decrypt the save.

Offsets: (or just use the hex workshop bookmark: http://www.mediafire...zap2avp76ksbs1h )

Gald: 000A3F78-000A3F7B

Grade: 000A7920-000A7923


Items: 000A3F86-?000A4DC0?
(in the order of items, weapons, sub weapons, helmets, accessories, cooking materials,

Its the same as in the XB360 version. Just FFFF the title addresses.
After the BE80s, the locations of the titles are exactly the same as the XB360 versions.

You can also get Rita's mage outfit.

I have the PS3 version, so I can hack the save without having to mod the console or anything? If so, this seems interesting, I really don't want to farm for grade and gald and stuff, I just don't have the time...

What does this mean? Would you maybe be willing to answer questions about doing this if I had them? I don't think I'll have much idea what I'm doing with this, I'm only familiar with GBA/NDS/Wii modding XD

Yeah, you don't need any mods on your ps3 or anything.

And what I mean by that save slot thing is like:

save slot one is in: BLJS10053-SAVEDATA001

You can't rename it to like BLJS10053-SAVEDATA002 or anything, you have to overwrite the previous save with the modded one, so I suggest making 2 identical saves on your PS3 or make a backup of the original on your computer.

I do believe your offsets are a little off for the titles. Just slightly.

Estelle's titles address was B05D2

Titles: 000AC5B8 + 4010 (which you stated) = B05C8

Estelle has 2 title areas, the 4010 was for the general area of titles, each character has a unique area in that block for their titles. (you can actually get other characters' titles)

Estelle is B05CC - CD and B05D2 - D3

oh yeah I forgot to thank you guys for this stuff, ironically I don't think I hacked this game but it helped me eventually XD

the thing is I kinda lost track of where I was in the PS3 version, esp. since I was off doing sidequests or something, so yeah... I dunno

anyhow, on those screenshots you posted--I notice the count is 9999 and the TP is 0 but what's the big "O" circle and arrows for? Why do all the attacks have the same kanji? I think it has something to do with FS or whatever the finishing attack thing is in Vesperia but idk, you could've posted an explanation XD

Edit: After some testing, it seems hacked artes do not work if they're not from the corresponding character unlike Tales of the Abyss.



So, unfortunately there's no more point in me documenting the artes and further.
We can't do anything with them with just save hacking.

Last one is Repede's altered arte. Don't remember if it was PS3 exclusive.

Merciless Wind doesn't have a description and uses 44 TP.
...dunno whose arte that is though.

...MAYBE we can find some unused artes like... Estelle's "Innocent Rose" I remember from one of her voice clips.

I'm green with this save hacking stuff. Any way to put Flynn in the party for the whole game (kind of like in the 360 version) instead of waiting for the next story event that he joins? My friend and I would like to do new game+ with Yuri and Flynn solo the whole game. I know this topic is old but any reply is received with gratitude

sorry dude not that I know of. it might be possible but I don't think so, not easily especially, I feel like the game might glitch too since Flynn joins/leaves the party at times and idk having him be there might interfere with the code. at the very least I imagine you'd have to constantly add him back by hacking the save data every time he left, but I don't even know how to do much that, either an experienced hacker would have to figure it out or you'd have to figure it out on your own after learning more about how to hack save data, I think. :\
