Manga: Naruto - I could go on and on so let's just say this is my opinion

I would say Gintama as well, I would say Bleach is one, Kubo could have ended it on a good note, but he kept it going and the delusional fans that keep on reading have been fooled

Is it really that highly thought of? This is the first I've heard of it outside of watching it once myself. I recall enjoying largely because the massive changes in mood were so WTF it was funny. Summer Wars I wasn't really a fan of, but then again I watched that one in 15 minute increments across a year and a half :/

Anyways, I guess I'll go with Naruto. I like it (or at least did before I got too bored with it to wait for updates), but it doesn't deserve its reputation. And screw filler.

Mind you, I'm not at all active in anime community so, well, what do I know?

because it's an anime they might be ninjas but that doesn't stop them from having tea as they discuss all the intricacies of their moves

also I'm very tempted to change both of my votes to Fairy Tail lol

then again my choice of Evangelion is completely biased because of Shinji and the fact that my viewing of the show was completely ruined.

Have you watched the Rebuild of Evangelion?

It's a series of films recreating the original anime in 4 films with what Anno wanted to originally do before Sega pulled the budget on the show because it was too gruesome.

1-3 are out so far, I've only seen the first two but they are fantastic

Hating Shinji is half the intention. He is a deconstruction of the regular hero of the apocalyptic shows which flooded anime at the time (which is what the base story of the show was about period - showing how screwed most people would likely be in such situations). He was a fine warrior, in theory, but wasn't capable of being a hero. Anno might have screwed some things up (such as intending to make Rei "creepy"), but it seems he got Shinji down pat if people don't like him (or like him in a more "pitying" sense).
