Hey guys, I need your help with something, it's something I did on Gamefaqs a few years back but I think all the posts have been deleted.
This is self explanatory, You all rate the Character of the Day on a scale 1-10, but this series will have the ratings separated in four categories: Main Game, Postgame, Characterization, and Personal.
Main Game-This will address how well the character performs and contributes in the main story campaign.
Postgame-This will tackle how much usefulness characters have in the postgame/DLC content. Be it through being an active unit, supporting unit, or how good a parent the character can be for the 2nd gen. (This only applies to Fe:8)
Characterization-This will be how much you liked the character in the supports or story.
Personal- This category will be how how was YOUR experience with the character, like getting RNG Blessed or Screwed, the recruitment chapter they had, etc.
Day 1: Roy, Eliwood, Eirika

Day 3: Alan, Lowen, Franz

We already did Lance. I assume you meant Bors?

Day 6: Bors
Main Game: 4
Um...he's a general without focus on defence. Actually, this makes him a decent blockade all game long. He can prevent getting doubled as well as take the hits. That's about all he can do though.
Characterization: 1
I don't even recall a personality. He's worried about his sister. That's all I can say.
Personal: 7
Honestly, he ends up used much more useful for me than Wendy despite my love for action girls who wear reasonable armour. That lagging offence never really enters my mind.
Fe:7
Day 6: Bartre
Main Game: 3
Bartre the Brave is a suitable fighter choice had Dart and Hector not existed and Dorcas not overleveled himself. Bartre needs far more protection than the formers while the latter makes him redundant should you want another primary axe user.
Characterization: 2
Really, there's no good way to score this. Bartre's character is based around an event which happens between games...taking the games separately, like with Karel, force you to vote on flat characters.
Personal: 5
He's basically always been on line...though I must admit, I would be tempted to like him because the Karlas I get are always amazing.
Fe:8
Day 6: Moulder
Main Game: 6
Tank Bishop? I'm in. Moulder's hugest advantage is the fact that he can access Bishop in a game where Bishops are god. Not to mention that he's a forced unit for a while since he's your only healer. High Constitution is a great asset as well.
Characterization: 3
A simple dichotomy is all he gets...he's a serious soul with a bit of an absentminded side (most notably, he forgets his own birthday). It's too bad he mostly plays in humour conversations.
Personal: 4
Speed screwage aside, I've been fine with him.

This is late but it's only got one reply and I really want to bash Bartre.
Fe:6
Day 6: Bors
Main Game: 4/10. He starts off with decent stats (IIRC kinda similar to Gilliam) but the axe rush makes him unable to level. So when the time comes for him to actually be a decent tank, he just can't. However, he's definitely the best armor knight in this game.
Characterization: 2/10. Nothing special to note.
Personal: 7/10. My first Bors ever capped speed and defense. Wat.
Fe:7
Day 6: Bartre
Main Game: 1/10. Dart and Hector are leaps and bounds ahead. Even Dorcas is better because he had Lyn's mode to get levels. Bartre contributes nothing that the other axe users in the game can't do. He gets 1 point because he can give Hector another hand axe.
Characterization: 0/10 shut your stupid face
Personal: 0/10 go away
Fe:8
Day 6: Moulder
Main Game: 6/10. THE BOULDER. Pretty tanky as a healer and promotes into a monster-slaying awesome guy for kicking the tar out of the main game or a sage for beating up everything. (I once made Moulder into a max stat sage and it was awesome.)
Characterization: 5/10. His mustache has all the characterization he could ever want.
Personal: 7/10. Usually ends up better than average for me.

Bartre is probably my least favorite character in FE history. If I wasn't a completionist I'd kill him off every time.
My favorite part of Sacred Contention is that he's in the front on the Fe7 side so he always dies first.
