Hey guys, I need your help with something, it's something I did on Gamefaqs a few years back but I think all the posts have been deleted.

This is self explanatory, You all rate the Character of the Day on a scale 1-10, but this series will have the ratings separated in four categories: Main Game, Postgame, Characterization, and Personal.

Main Game-This will address how well the character performs and contributes in the main story campaign.

Postgame-This will tackle how much usefulness characters have in the postgame/DLC content. Be it through being an active unit, supporting unit, or how good a parent the character can be for the 2nd gen. (This only applies to Fe:8)

Characterization-This will be how much you liked the character in the supports or story.

Personal- This category will be how how was YOUR experience with the character, like getting RNG Blessed or Screwed, the recruitment chapter they had, etc.

Day 5: Wolt

Main Game: 2/10. Standard early game archer...but doesn't have any good stats or growths whatsoever. He gets 2 because chip damage is actually relevant in early Fe6.

Characterization: 4/10. Has some history with Roy, unlike most of the cast.

Personal: 2/10. He's never ended up good for me.

Day 5: Dorcas

Main Game: 4/10. Makes for a decent early axe user but terrible speed cripples him mid to late game. Dart and Hector are way better.

Characterization: 6/10. For some reason I kinda like Dorcas, even though he can be a dumbass.

Personal: 5/10. He's never been blessed or screwed for me. Every time I use Dorcas he just ends up as expected (high strength, skill, pitiful speed)

Day 5: Vanessa

Main Game: 8/10. Objectively speaking, one of the best pegasus knights in the series and easily the best in Fe8.

Characterization: 4/10. Does she have any lines at all aside from those with Moulder?

Personal: 3/10. Despite objectively being good, my Vanessas are always terrible. She's either too squishy to take a hit or not dodgy enough to get away from anything. I play Fe8 a lot better if I ignore her entirely.

Day 5: Wolt
Main Game: 2
I just don't like archers. They suffer from major usability issues. Wolt is no different. He's a default archer who can deal chip damage over time. Compared to Dorothy, all he has is availability.

Characterization: 2
Other than a slight quirk (in specific, his intentional lack of closeness to Roy), he doesn't do a whole lot.

Personal: 5
It's hard to judge a character I don't use much. He shoots, weakens, and gets benched.

Day 5: Dorcas
Main Game: 3
I do not like fighters. They rely on tanking with a low defence. Dorcas has pathetic speed AND defences. Despite his bulky HP, he dies very, very quickly. You have Hector and Dart as primary axe users as well as your palidans and generals using them as backup weapons. Why would you ever need Dorcas outside of Lyn's mode?

Characterization: 3
He's a nice guy. He's very dedicated to his wife no matter what. He got paid pennies to help out. There. I've summarized all there is to know about Dorcas. His support with Farina adds a point alone.

Personal: 2
I've had Dorcas end with 11 speed and 2 defence and 3 resistance gained (so both <10) at 20/20. Seriously. And the more reasonable renditions weren't much better. What the hell?

Day 5: Vanessa
Main Game: 7
She's the #2 flying unit. Tana, in theory, is statistically way better, despite lower availability. Either way, Vanessa should be an excellent unit that you should have no problem adding to your army. If your luck is low though, don't expect her to be taking many direct shots. But that speed/luck combination should prevent that in almost all situations.

Characterization: 4
Let's start from the top. She's a type A. That part is obvious. She is unshakable really. This is really highlighted in her final support with Syrene (an interesting story if you go to read it). She is thrown around a bit when beside people she respects though, like Innes. Outside of that, she's pretty flat as a serious, honest knight.

Personal: 4
Ugh. I've had many situations where her strength pre-promotion drops to 8-9. My luck with Tana has been even worse though, so she claims a flight unit spot by default.
