So, the last few times I've tried to insert a sprite with FEditor I've come across a problem. I make hte sprite, format it, make sure its 16 colors, and load it into FEditor without a hitch. However, when I try to place the boxes for the blinking and talking frames, they like to jump around in 15 pixel leaps and never sit right. This has ranged from being blatantly obvious and impervious to fixing to being off by only a pixel or two, and going unnoticed until I load up the ROM. Does anybody have a quick fix idea for this?

If this is for portraits (which i assume its for) then upload the sheet and maybe we can see what we can do. or you could use usenti.

You know you can drag them to alter the placement, right? I can post my full tutorial on it though, just give me a bit to make images.

The problem is that they jump past the position I'm trying to get them in when I drag them.

EDIT: Latest image, if it helps. Also: critique

Use a grid to make sure you're aligning things right, there should be a tutorial somewhere that can help you out but pretty much if you do it systematically it should ensure everything is aligned and you can drag the frames in FEditor Adv as necessary to adjust it there.

Well, this is what it should look like, (from the way the tutorials tell you it should look like). I had to move the guy a few pixels to the right because parts of his hair goes out of the designated area a character can go into.user posted image
Edit: Parts of his head sorta "portrudes" or dents or whatever and it looks unnatural.

It shouldn't be jumping 15 pixels

the alignment is just wrong because you seem to have half-assed how precisely you needed to position your frames

I recall covering everything in here:

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, went out of state for a week.

Anyway, thanks, that's exactly what I needed, but for some reason I've never seen it before. Beats the heck out of shoving the sprite around trying to make it fit (which is why the image was so lopsided when I uploaded it.)
