Anyone like punk music? I like some, but I wouldn't say that it's like my favorite genre.

The reason I made this thread is because I have a friend who's in a rather popular local punk band called Pierre. They've done some short touring in the upper midwest of the US, and I kind of wanted to see if there was anyone here that would appreciate being introduced to them.

I've generally been a rock alternative kinda guy. Can't say I've ever enjoyed punk much.

I am open minded about music but I am definitely a bit more partial towards punk. Bands like Bad Religion, Rancid, The Casualties, Social Distortion etc etc all take my fancy.
............though I'm not entirely sure why because I find punk music to be kind of just noisy guitars and yelling half the time
