I couldn't take the fact that Pikachu keeps on beating EVERYTHING (including Ground type Pokemon) and all that. I even had to see Goldeen beat up one of my favorite grass type Pokemon Victreebel... ARGH! And oh yes, Jigglypuff and Togepi are the other two anime ubers. SING... POOF! Everyone falls asleep. METRONOME... BOOM! It's always some type of Explosion attack...
Now I hear from the D/P series that Ash's Pikachu loses a lot. Well, that's good... but to a n00b? I heard Pikachu beat up a REGICE (a legendary with HUGE Special Defense) and Charizard beat Articuno and Blastoise (the former MIGHT be possible, but I always end up beating expert Charizards with Articuno, while the latter... another way to tell kids to pick Charmander as a starter) but that SAME Pikachu loses to an ELEKID (WHAT?!) and that SAME Charizard loses to a Blaziken (Flying > Fighting... what is going on here?)
By the way, I just realized, Pikachu never beats the Electabuzz family in the anime... ever. Hmmm...
What got me to stop watching is the insane "good guys always win" thing they pull up... and that got too annoying.
Despite all that annoying stuff, the First Series, without any doubt, was the BEST one. After that, it began to deteriorate... as all shows do.

I grew out of it though, around the time nobody played the card cames CORRECTLY anymore.

I did, I used to sing the ending, middle and start songs, I even have a few episodes on tape. You could say I used to be a pokemon buff, it was a family thing, with the cards and all. Still <3 mew though, and still have an action figure of him and pikachu, and vulpix. I also have my old card binder, my pokemon mat for playing said cards on, etc, etc, etc. I grew out of it though, around the time nobody played the card cames CORRECTLY anymore. |
LOL. No one knew how to play the card game at all. We just used the strongest attacks and Charizard would always win (gee, I wonder how -__-)
I always wondered what those energies were for and I suggested that the energies next to the attacks' names were the energies required to use that attack and colorless energies means any energies goes and discard means to place the energies in the graveyard (sorry for the Yu-gi-oh term)... but it was a dumb idea anyways
