I've been wondering, how many units could be at a same chapter at the same time? That is including player, enemy and neutral units. Also, is it impossible to add different modes of gameplay like Free-for-all, three/four way deathmatch, etc.?

Also, do you need a high-specs PC to start hacking? I have a very limited in capabilities netbook running on a dubious Windows XP...

150, 50 for each side

Not impossible but requires ASM which is annoying as hell and is basically making game functions themselves.
