Anime has different categories....and among them is the gore-esque Anime...such as Higurashi, Elfen Lied, Hellsing Ultimate......etc....
All I want to know is which Anime is the most scariest and why.... o_o

I can't honestly think of a "scary" anime. There are some creepy atmospheres (such as, by the end of Serial Experiments Lain, you'll NEVER hear the humming of electrical transformers the same way...or in Higurashi, where people routinely go nuts), but nothing overtly scary with jump scares and typical Hollywood tactics like that.

Higurashi and Another have successfully scared the hell outta me, well, more accurately they've scarred me for life. >.>

I wasn't kidding when I said it's disturbing as all hell. I stated its awareness so you could avoid it.
Edit: I said the word "watch", I admit, but when I said "you'll never want to keep watching it", I inferred that you shouldn't watch it. I only watched part of it because I was pranked by a few of my friends. Most of which I'm not friends with anymore, but still...

I don't really know any scary anime, but I have seen a few gory and disturbing anime. The only ones I can remember, though, are Elfen Lied, Afro Samurai, and Hellsing.
Oh, and I never thought I would hear of Bible Black again...that stuff is just sickening.

The Elfen Lied anime is pretty weak compared to the manga. It's pretty brutal including stuff like Mayu being almostraped by that nameless fella who carries the decapitated and half dead Diclonius around on his back to find other Diclonii... yeah. It's just all kinds of messed up. Other than that I haven't seen/read anything nearly as disturbing, but I am curious.

I find anime that are scary tend to just be disturbing and are put under the psycological category.
