I'm still not quite sure about the left eye, but otherwise, I like how it turned out.

It's pretty good for a first splice! However, there are a few problems with it. The eyes seem wrong, not really the eyes themselves, but their placing.
Also, looking at your pallet, you focused quite a bit on the hair which makes the clothes look messed up, so maybe take one color from the hair to make the clothes look better.
There's something about that hair...
If you fix those two things, I'm sure this mug will look great!

WEll, the clothes are supposed to look beat up, but four colors for the hair did seem a bit much. Still working on the eyes.

Well, the clothes don't look beat up as much as they do... un-shaded. I usually use 3 colors for hair and 4 for clothes, as those require a bit more complexity.

Tweaked with the clothes a little, but mainly I shrank the eyes by a row and tweaked with those dark pixels that are apparently supposed to be the eyebrows. The look in the eyes I'm going for is the kind you get when you wake up and realise you have to go to work/school today. To sum it up in a quote: "Well, that's just great."
