There's a rumor that the next installment in the Fire Emblem series is being worked on and that it will be announced within the next week.
Note that this is just a rumor and I don't have any legitimate source or screenshots at the moment, but if you have some feel free to submit them on our mainsite at http://www.feshrine.net, through a reply to this post, or PM them to me.

I'm not sure where I've seen it, but a more exact rumor would be that it's going to be announced April 1st. That sort of makes me think it's nothing but a joke...

Yeah, I know, it could be an April Fools thing, tis why I just put it out as a rumor... If it's true then that's cool because I got the heads up fast if not then that's that I'll deem it false and it'll be over with...

Is it the FE4 DS rumour? Cos Im pretty sure thats fake. He's got some screenshots up, but they're not at all convincing. here is a link to the post I'm talking about.

Oh lol. That's true. But even then, wouldn't they release a remake of FE3 book 2... or even... FE2? ... if the latter one's possible, that is.

Yeah, FE3 Book 2 sounds great but I'd rather have an original game since that brings new characters and dimensions and story and places and we need more to talk about and stuff. Remakes/sequels can be done every other original game or so. :\

You know how they divided FE3 into two books with 20 levels? Since FE1 really has 25 levels (5 levels were omitted in FE3), they should add 5 extra levels in the Book 2 remake. Book 2 would also have some interesting new classes such as female cavaliers (Cecil) and female knights (Sheema) and all, but maybe it would be too hard to implement... IDK. That level where you get Ymir in FEDS is actually Book 2 level 14... without the Mamkutes...

Wow, I didn't know that (about the Ymir thing). That's really interesting, it'd be great, I like your ideas and remakes need to be spiced up anyway. Maybe to make things go faster they could base it off of Shadow Dragon like how FE7 and FE8 are super-similar to FE6 and FE6 was used as a base or FE7 and FE8...

Eh. If there was an FE12 it'd be nice if they released a small map creator with many limitations for it or whatnot, (so their engine could not be stolen, but enough to make a basic playable map) and have users submit them in a contest. Then host the ones they think are the best on their website, and use fanvotes to decide which one will become the base for FE12.
Or a game about this community.
Edit: Just realized how stupid the first idea sounded, maybe just use polls on their site or whatnot.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking... somewhat. Too bad DS games cannot patch each other because I was thinking about a multiplayer that would be compatible for both FE:SD and the theoretical FE12.

This. They have enough space to make a small basic map editor, I'll bet... and it's a really cool idea.

Yes it'd be a great idea but they would probably not do it, Nintendo hasn't done that kind of stuff with Fire Emblem for a while (since like FE7). :\
