So today I made a huge change of plans in my future. Instead of re-enlisting in the Air Force for another 4 years, I’ve elected to seperate. I have until 21 Sept to do mountains of paperwork. After that I’ll be on terminal leave; in other words, I’m using my leftover leave to seperate early while still collecting a paycheck. My date of seperation is 01 Dec, so thats almost 2 1/2 months of extra time to go job hunting. This is a big and major change for me so don’t be worried if I’m acting stressed out in the next 5-6 weeks.

Hehehe well I'm getting excited. I have lots of options already. Theres a Cummins Power Generation devision not far from here. I can work at a major place that rents out large scale construction equipment cuz they're all the same diesel engines.

Oh I'd stay in longer if I could but the thing is I have to get promoted to stay in now. I have one test left to take in 3 weeks so all that studying better pay off for me.

Oh so you hit your high year of tenure. I hate that. A guy at work can't re-enlist right now because his new contract would extend past his high year of tenure date so he has to extend instead. And try like hell to make rank XD

Well if I get promoted in december then I have a good chance of staying in but it's the damn navy quota that keeps screwing me oover when it comes to promotions. But good luck finding what you need to do before you get out.
