UPS patch Ver.4

Hello everybody,

I have been modifying a FE8 ROM for personal use only. But due to my poor knowledge

of Rom Hacking, I've decided to make it public.

Anyway, the hack contains:

''Poor and s*****'' plot involving Roy, Bramimond and Zephiel.

Really BAD grammar.

And more...

The hack ends in Chapter 5 for now

The problem I'm in:

Map animation sprites.

Battle Animation palettes for Bramimond, Lucius and Zack.

World map portraits

Need help.

Edit: None of the patches work, need to reconstruct most of the work. If you have an old patch that works please send me a link with the working patch.

Oh of course patches are fine. Thanks for the maturity warning btw. And btw just a friendly tip you may want to check that the patch works. If you used FEditor Adv IPS patches shouldn't be able to work, you'd have to use UPS patches, so let's just say I'm a little doubtful (and sorry in advance if this is un-rightfully so XP).

It's nice you're working on a personal project, but I must point out one fatal flaw of your hack: Make sure your patches actually work.

I patched with my Fire Emblem (U) 1235 ROM, and all I got was a white screen of death.

Is it meant for the UK version? NTSC-J?

Weird, are you sure when you created the patch you based it off of a clean ROM and not a hacked ROM? Try using UPS patch format, it's better than IPS anyhow. XP

I can't patch the UPS file. "The patch does not match the file. Patching canceled."

Make sure you have both the hacked ROM AND the clean ROM when you make a patch.

Well, I've downloaded it. It does indeed work.

Your grammar really isn't as awful as you make it seem.
There are a couple of text displaying issues and double portraits showing up, I'll post some pictures maybe tomorrow so you know what I mean.
