It's the first Fire Emblem game that's original in quite a while, and most of us have been clamoring for just that. That said, how good do you expect this game to be?

Well, I was quite impressed with the new stuff in FE12, so I think it'll be pretty good. Hard to say for sure from what little we've seen of this, though.

I expect it to have an in-depth story, well developed characters, and supports with conversations unlike the past 3 FE games.

All I want is a new Fe game that I can play, I don't care if the plot is that the big bad has stolen the princess' cupcakes and you've to get them back or some shit,

I just want a challenging, character driven, turn based top down grid based tactical game...

I personally expect it to have at least a little depth, at the very least on par with 8. I don't feel too strongly about supports but I'd really like them to return to a better format.

Imo every FE story (aside from FE1/11) was at least somewhat deep and pretty decent, so I'm not too worried about the plot of this one. (Note: Never finished Gaiden or played Fe3.)

FE12 had base conversations, not supports. Whoever says they are the same is simplifying things. By support conversations at least I mean something akin to what FE8 had under the "support" menu which takes up a turn amidst battle in return for gained stat bonuses and character depth.

FE12 has conversations that are labeled something like "Marth Katua 2" that is based on- wait for it- their support level! I'd call that a support conversation, seeing as it's a conversation dependent on the characters having a support.

Eremiya's story is pretty interesting, or at least what I've heard of it, and FE3's is not that bad- certainly miles ahead of FE1/11's- and I don't see how a story being recycled makes it not in-depth. As for developed characters? There is plenty dedicated largely to character development in the game. 300+ new conversations, 21 new chapters as well as BSFE which has never been translated. That's at least twice the content of the original FE3 and all of it is largely geared towards developing characters/plot beyond what FE3 did originally.

I was GOING to set my expectations low to avoid disappointment but after watching a video of it online I have some pretty high expectation and I will probably preorder the game at full price.

I'm hoping some good ol' features come back, supports and stuff of the like as well as some new twists ( which I can already see from the 2 allies fighting at the same time)

and the best part is it's not a remake~!

Late again, but.

The two on one battle reminds me of Front Mission 4. Which was a good game. It adds an amazing amount of strategy for two major reasons.
1)The enemies almost always outnumber you.
2)The enemies will be able to do it too. Or should be at least.
Which means you probably won't be able to use two on one as much as you like without it becoming a bunch of two on ones against one of your characters, probably the weaker one.

Then comes how support conversations will definitely somehow benefit two on one battles if the two are support linked.

Now, as for the 3d aspect, it will be interesting because Nintendo has one game (Mario something) that innovated what could be done with 3d and not just being things that popped out, so hopefully this game does something new with the 3d as well.

Seeing as how my expectations for FE have went considerably down since FE9 and FE10, I don't expect this game to be amazing good. But it would be nice.

I don't mean to be a posi-freak but I actually do expect this game to be good. FE12 was pretty good and I have a feeling Intelligent Systems is going to get more things right than wrong this time around.

It has two player cooperative play apparently, I am sold on the idea.

That was mistranslated a LONG time ago. That multiplayer thing is just having two units enter combat with one enemy at the same time.
