Multiple people get letters in the mail about a large convention for members of a certain club they all belong to.

Rules (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)
Most Important Rule: The living can talk to the living through any method they choose, and the dead can talk to other dead through any means which the living can't read, but the living cannot communicate with the dead. This is extremely important as dead players get to know everyone's quirk and role, and even people with the best of intentions can slip bits of info.
Winning: If any player's name is legally changed to Charlie Sheen, they instantly win. Otherwise, the Innocents Team win when all Assassins are dead, and the Assassins win when there's an equal amount of Assassins and Innocents.
Setup:
1. Everyone posts in this thread, saying they'll enter the game and giving a brief description of their character. It can be yourself, loosely based off yourself, your forum RP character, etc. The setting of this RP is a closed-off modern mall with no means of escape whatsoever, though, so keep that in mind when making a character. (Example character: John is a lazy librarian from a small town. He's intelligent and distrustful.)
2. I randomly PM everyone a role and a quirk.
3. Day 1 begins.
Order of Events:
1. Throughout other events, Assassins should discuss with anyone else that they know to be Assassins on who to kill. Anyone whose mind has been made up on their kill target can PM me their choice.
2. All living players debate in this thread or personally with each other through IMs, PMs, etc. about who is and isn't an Assassin, and decide who your daily lynch vote goes to (i.e. "I dunno if he's an assassin or not, but SmashedFish seems suspicious, so he gets my death vote today.") You don't have to say word-for-word what I did so long as you make it clear who gets your death vote.
3. The execution of the player with the most votes is carried out around a little after somewhere like 3/5 of the people playing have casted death votes. The Judge picks in case of ties.
4. After the execution, the Assassins should have finalized/PMed me their votes. If they don't soon after, their vote isn't counted. In case of ties for the Assassination, I pick randomly.
5. I post the victim of the night kill, a list of still living players, and the next day begins.
Special days: Day 1 and every other day afterwards: The Accuser can attempt to make it look like an Innocent is an Assassin to the Mystic and on their death report. No change is made, nor is any notification given, if they attempt to accuse an Assassin.
Day 2: Everyone can vote for the Judge, who decides who is lynched in case of a tie at the cost of their own ability to vote. Players must indicate who they wish to give their Judge and death votes to. (i.e. "I vote FakeUsername2000 for Judge and SmashedFish for death.") If the Judge dies, a new one is voted for the next day.
Other Rules: You MAY post your role publicly (no privately telling others), but it's up to you to think about if it's a good idea or not to do so and up to other players on whether to believe you. On the other hand, do not post/tell anyone your quirk.
I will do all calculations of chance (like seeing if Observant or Comatose activate, for example). I do these with random.org, which is a handy site to use for anything that needs randomization. [/advert]
I (SmashedFish) am narating/modding this whole thing and am not a player, so don't mention me.
The majority of players are Innocents, both the role and the team. Keep that in mind when randomly selecting names.
Anyone who doesn't post in this thread for two straight days dies a tragic and painful death of natural (or unnatural) causes at my discretion. PM me and choose who you'll be voting for for the next two days if you plan on not being able to post. Remember to pick a second choice in case the first one is already dead.
If you'd like, you can investigate the corpses of those who weren't lynched. To do so, PM me and ask. If you're a Doctor or a Veteran, you can tell if a person's dead or Comatose. Otherwise, you'll get a half-decent description of how they died. If you're an Assassin, you already got a description of how your prey was felled, so unaccounted dead people might be worth looking into. Be careful, though, as you can examine a maximum of 4 corpses.
Veterans, Accusers, and Mindbreakers will only be put in if we have enough players. If we have 8 or more, there can be a single Appointed (the Grandmaster picks which role they get). If we reach 10, I'll throw in the veteran, and if we have 12 or more, there will be a second Appointed. At fifteen, there will be one more appointed and one more veteran.
Finally, despite how much well you know a player outside this game, don't trust anyone. You may end up waking up full of Assassin steel.

Roles (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)
Innocents Team: A group of players who were made the unfortunate targets of a group of skilled Assassins. Their goal is to kill all the Assassins through daily lynchings, despite the fact that nobody knows for sure who's an Assassin and who's not.
Innocent: A player with no special powers. Their goal is to outlive the Assassins. Their one weapon against death is their power to vote. Viva democracy!
Mystic: A player whose affinity for magic allows them to read the minds of all but those with high magical skill of their own. This player can PM me and ask the role of another player once a day, but if they ask about the Grandmaster or the Grandmaster's Appointed, I'll lie and say they're an Innocent.
Veteran: A crazy awesome war hero who's decided to take matters in their own hands. This player can PM me a target that they think is an Assassin to personally kill once a day, at most, and that person will be dead. However, there's a chance X/Y where X is the number of killings they've made (counting the current kill), and Y is the current number of living players (not counting the victim), that a randomly selected player witnessed the crime, unbeknownst to the Vet.
Doctor: A skilled medical professional who knows how to counteract the wounds inflicted by the poisons, silenced guns, and knife strokes most used by the Assassins. This player may PM me the player (not themselves) whom they wish to attempt to save each night, and if that player was targeted by the Assassins for death, that player will be spared and learn the identity of their savior.
Assassins Team: A group of players who are deadly assassins by trade. Their mysterious Grandmaster ordered some of their least-known and highest-skilled Assassins to end a convention by gradually killing all of its members. This would be easy enough if A ) their targets really were unskilled in self-defense through politics or B ) they knew who each other were. They are able to do a vote of their own and make a kill every night.
Assassin: A player who ends the lives of key targets for a living. They may PM me the name of another player whom they wish to silence once per day. If the target with the most votes is another Assassin team player, that player's role will be revealed to all Assassin team members and they won't be killed.
Grandmaster: The leader of the Assassins. Their votes for nightly death count double. They have appointed one (or two) of their clan to cary out a special role and they remember that player's identity on Day 3. When killed, it'll say that the grandmaster was a normal Assassin to spread confusion.
Grandmaster's Appointed: One (or both) of two roles that may or may not be included, depending on the number of players. Since the Grandmaster personally handpicked them for their role, this(these) player(s) and the Grandmaster know each other on Day 3. However, Appointed are not given the identities of other Appointed. When killed, Appointed show up as normal Cultists.
Accuser: A player who cannot hide their own status as an Assassin but can alter that of others. Every other day, starting with the first, this player can PM me another player's name. This player will appear as an Assassin if the Mystic asks of them and to the public if/when they're killed.
Mindbreaker: This player is wise in the ways of magic and can PM me a target to teach the target the ways of the Assassins and fully induct them to the Assassins at the cost of the Mindbreaker's own life (which replaces the nightly cult kill). If the Mindbreaker tries to convert an Assassin, the first time the ritual will fail and they'll be introduced to each other, but the second time the ritual will succeed and the Mindbreaker will die without effect. The target of a successful Mindbreaking learns the identity of all Assassins that the Mindbreaker knew and becomes a basic Assassin, losing their old role but keeping their quirk.
Innocent: A player with no special powers. Their goal is to outlive the Assassins. Their one weapon against death is their power to vote. Viva democracy!
Mystic: A player whose affinity for magic allows them to read the minds of all but those with high magical skill of their own. Quirks (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)
Quirks are randomly assigned convenient or annoying additions to a role. No matter how much someone asks about your quirk, you can't tell anyone what it is, or confirm/deny if you have X quirk.
Paranoid: You are really really REALLY paranoid. This, combined with your inborn stubbornness to live or at least thwart those who would kill you, manifests itself in a habit of yours to write messages in chalk all over the walls of your room too many times to erase in one night, efficiently leaving a message behind if you're killed. Your paranoia also leads you to erase these messages when you wake up so that anyone you accuse or any secrets you tell aren't showed to a potential killer. However, you're running low on chalk, and there isn't any in this whole mall, so it looks like you have enough to leave messages for three nights. Better use those messages wisely.
Persistant: You're the definition of obsession. When you want someone dead, you want them DEAD. As such, you must continually vote whoever you vote for the daily lynching until they die, or are reported as innocent by the Mystic. If you're an Assassin, your training has helped you deal with some of your gut instinct and you're allowed to change your assassination vote, but you kept part the normal death vote part because it makes a nice cover.
Foreign: You're from some vague country far over the ocean. You've learned English quite well and can speak it with the best, but you have a noticeable accent which you must use when talking to anyone except me. To simulate this, I will give you a website to use to filter your text. Don't worry, it's virus-free and stuff.
Anonymous: No, not like that. You have a particular skill for forging handwriting and signatures, and you think using your talent can help your team make it out alive by namelessly drawing suspicion to or away from someone. To use it, PM me a message and who you want it to be "from" (you can say that you don't want a signature). Your forgery skills diminish as stress wracks your body, though, so witnessing a Veteran kill, surviving a tie for the daily lynching, or being almost killed but saved by a doctor will probably put an end to your letter-writing for a day. In addition, the likelihood of you accidentally leaving an identifiable mark starts at nonexistent, but goes up by about seven percent for each day. Lastly, your forging skills start as perfect, but each day, your fake handwriting's believability diminishes by eight percent. All in all, you have pencils and paper that should last you for four letters, but writing more than one a day would take too much time and make you look pretty suspicious.
Observant: You do more watching the world go by and noticing every detail than getting up and getting noticed yourself, and as such, are five times as likely to witness the Veteran's kill. The Veteran, however, has learned to watch out for quiet people like you that might observe them, and as such, they have a 1/4 chance of detecting you. If you're the veteran, you cannot be observed. You also have a small (1/5) chance to overhear one of the Assassins discussing their nightly kill and rank, or if you're an assassin, a chance of overhearing an Innocent talking to themselves aloud about their role. In addition, you have a 1/4 chance of watching the cool guy unmask themselves. Lastly, you have the one quirk that you are allowed to announce to anyone. Be careful about reporting anything you see or hear, though, as I'm sure the Veteran doesn't want to be watched, and the rest of the mall's occupants don't want their status announced for the other side to hear.
Comatose: Due to a rare disease you inherited from one of your parents, you occasionally go into a deep coma. This coma looks convincingly like death, and takes the investigation of a Doctor who's examined similar comas before or that of a Veteran who can tell the diference between death and feigned death. Having this death trigger durning the night will convince any Assassins that you're already dead and they have no need to kill you, and having it trigger in the day will make lynchers not be interested in lynching you. You're allergic to eating cheese, which you brought a chunk of in case you need to look dead without relying on random comas. PM me to use it. Be careful, though, as there's a 1/3 chance that eating the cheese will kill you. Comas themselves start at a 10 percent of activation, which rises 5, 7, or 10 percent per day depending on how bad your case is. On a random coma or a cheese-induced one, the chance of a coma for the next activation period is reduced by 15, 20, or 25 percent, again depending on how bad you have it.
Braggart: You really enjoy talking about yourself. Especially any special talents you might (or might not) have. This urge to brag is so intense that you simply cannot stand to keep anything to yourself. Unless you are killed, you must post in this thread at some point during the first three days of play stating "your role" (It can be your actual role, or a different one, you decide). If you do not, the urge to brag will become so strong that your lungs will burst from holding it all in, and you will die. Contributed by SilentSentinel
There are two secret quirks at the moment. These may be revealed later.
Cool Guy: You're a pretty awesome guy. You're is easily identifiable by your cool sunglasses, but because of the high risk, you choose not to wear them. However, once in the game, you can show one player their awesome sunglasses. That player will get the message "User showed you some pretty awesome sunglasses today. You get the feeling he's a cool guy," confirming them of your quirk's identity as badass and your role. There is a 25% chance that the Observant will notice you show someone your shades. You aren't an Assassin or the Mystic. Additionally, the player who you show your sunglasses to may not tell anyone who you are, but if a mystic checks them, they will also learn your identity.
