So, out of all the great (and some not so great) villains of the FE series, which one is your favorite? Favorite is subjective; they can be a stupid and funny villain (Valtome) or a real ass (Trabant).
This also spans across all games.
I didn't include a poll because 1: there's a ton of villains and 2: it would likely just cause arguments like "No, Lyon isn't the villain, the Demon King is," etc.
Mine is Ashnard. He's one of the only FE final bosses that isn't a demon, dragon, God, dragon-God, etc, that can still whoop your ass if you're unprepared. His name is also mentioned up until the very last endgame chapter of FE10, showing that even though he was killed in FE9, his influence was still strong.
He also has the highest Beorc stat caps; all 40s, IIRC. Plus, Gurgurant is badass.

I liked Alvis, okay, he's not the main villain, but still, his 'for the greater good' is what does it for me.

I have to say Nergal was pretty crazy and wicked. I mean, some of the others could be argued to have some more legit reasons, but Nergal had really just lost it. So he's up there...
FE8 didn't have anyone that great, IMO... Riev was evil but he wasn't strong or like monstrously powerful evil...
Black Knight? heck no
Ashnard? heck yes

This is a tough one. I'm just going to state my Top 5 in no particular order.
Black Knight(FE10) - The epic-ness is off the charts when he fights Ike. That cutscene is sheer badass. And I think the Black Knight has a very cool story.
Ashnard(FE9) - Stated above^^
Nergal(FE7) - He's a crazy SOB and a pain to kill sometimes. He does some evil shit and epicly pwns a lot of people.
Alvis(FE4) - Bad-Ass Sage. Nuff said.
Lyon(FE8) - Since I love FE8, couldn't leave it hanging....Lyon because he's a necromancer, which I think is an awesome looking class. And you have to beat him twice.
Unrelated:
Renault(TU) - Heard a lot about him, saw some epic screens of 'em. Seems like a bad-ass...so he gets a special notice.

I find the Black Knight awesome
.He has a great armor is mysterious strong and is one of the bad guys, Nergal is good too but the Black Knight is cooler

Ah, Alvis. Great villain. Doesn't top Ashnard on my list, but he's still awesome. Definitely a better villain than that coward Manfloy.

Ashnard was pretty cool, he's also one of the few final bosses that is mentioned throughout the whole story and isn't a fake final boss.
ie. oh no! Nergal is bad lets stop him! nergal is killed! now fight a dragon!
or Lyon is dead, but he summoned the demon king! fight the demon king! etc.
Zephiel was pretty cool, the fact that I saved his ass in FE7 with Eliwood, just to kill him with his son several years later? he had an awesome backstory.

I'll have to say, as much as Ashnard was twisted, I think Nergal is easily the equal here. Tie there.
Trabant and Alvis are asses too though.
