because I have partially watched tons of series that I haven't got around to finishing EVA, Lain, Elemental Gelade, Noir et etc etc

As you can see I don't watch a ton of anime... or rather, I watch One Piece, which has hundreds of episodes

You should atleast watch the EVA rebuilds, they are absolutely stunning, and came out last year and two years ago with huge budgets.

I rarely watch anime. But I have a few from a few years ago:

Fullmetal Alchemist (51 episodes, the original)
DN: Angel (iirc 26 episodes)
Mythical Detective Loki: Ragnarok (26 episodes, waste of my ****ing time. Should have just left it at episode 10 cuz that was the only really good episode)

The only anime that I even touched in the last two years were

Deltora Quest (adaptation, iirc 52 episodes)
High School of the Dead (Can't remember... I'm embarrassed to admit this was the last anime I watched at all...)

Probs won't finish either.

Oh yes my friends are obsessed with Ouran so its nice to see someone who isn't fond of it. I thought they'd force me to watch it >_>

Ouran is horrible, the humour is bad, characters really annoying and theres absolutely no plot...

If they ever try to make you watch it, run for the freaking hills!

^Hahaha I remember that used to be like a catchphrase of yours (run for the hills!)

What's important to me in anime is

1) plot (duh)
2) epic fights (because I only like fighting anime, because I am like that... if I wanted to watch drama I'd watch reality drama)
3) music (because animes aren't epic without good music)
4) good animation/subs (because if it looks shitty it is shitty)
5) episodes come out frequently or anime is already finished or something--I just hate waiting forever for subbed animes
