Just wondering if anybody has read/is reading Robert Jordans fantasy epic; The Wheel of Time.
I'm currently on book 6 (out of 13 so far) and love the series to bits.
Even if you do just want to punch some characters...
Anyone else read these?

No but I played the old ass game for the PC. tI served as a prelude to the first book. Basically you had to get the seals from Ishimael the Forsaken, the Children of the Light, and Mordeath and ensure that they didn't use the seals to release him (Ishimael and Mordeath that is)

Well it was to me XD. It was basically an FPS. You played Elana Sedai, an Aes Sedai who can't channel, so you have to find Ter' Angreal throughout the game as you fight Trollics, Myrdraal, White Cloaks, Black Ajah sisters, and hardest and scariest of all, survive a night in Shadar Logoth (damn I hated that level XD)

Wow that game really sticks close to the source material!
It seems weird that you know quite a bit about the terminology of the fantasy world, and fromm playing a video game and not having read the books haha

I know right XD My mom got me the first 2 books but I just don't like to sit and read lol. But yea I learned a lot just from the game. And you can maybe find it on ebay or amazon, and the system requirments aren't that demanding (this thing was made for win 95 and 98 lol)

I just started the series based on some people's recommendations. Currently I am on book 1, page 8. It's beautiful.

Just started the 8th book, it's pretty good already!
I found books 9-12 in a second hand bookshop for 15 quid so I'm preparing in advance haha

With the exception of some slow parts near the middle they are all great books, I've read through to Knife of Dreams, and Im going to start rereading them again in preparation of The last book. I love how the characters get more and more epic as the story progresses. So far I think my favorite books were Knife of Dreams and New Spring. Moiraine is such a baller lol
