I just finished a chapter on my hack and decided to go back and fix some of the small points. All I have left now is to change the boss' palette and make it so the LOEV command doesn't load units as NPCs. I know how to edit palettes using GBAGE but Batta's palette offset isn't on the Battle Palette Reference module in Nightmare (or at least it's not on mine
).

LOEV command ONLY loads units as NPC's. Yeah. It was mainly used in-game to load the Tactician during events... thus the "LO[AD]EV[ENT]" name. lol
The battle palette reference thing has some silly mistakes here and there, there is a fixed list in some module, but anyhow, I am pretty sure that Batta's palette is 0x10, the one that appears blank, so try that one and it should work.

Thanks. Blazer! Batta has now been recolored
!
But about the LOEV thing... Do I have to make another unit group (i.e "Good", "Bad", etc.) to load just two units?

Yes. Yes you do. It's actually not that bad as it seems. Making unit groups becomes quick and you can reuse the same unit groups for characters that are in cutscenes a lot (like main characters, of course--no need to rewrite the unit groups every time, copy and paste and call it a day!).

Chapters done! Wouldn't have been possible without ya' Blazer
! One last question before I think my understanding of all hacking basics will be done. This one should be simple yet I can't find out...
What's the difference between "True" and "False" in the LOU command?
Once again, thanks for all the help Blazer :3

If I am thinking about what you are talking about, then "True" means that the character autolevels (gets stat boosts based on their level, so a level 10 character with autoleveling would automatically gain some stats dependent on growths and their starting level). "False" means the opposite (class base stats + character base stats = actual in-game stats).
Autoleveling is most typically used on enemies to make different leveled enemies have different stats, just slightly.
