What do you think of him?

Marth in Dark Dragon was not exactly the worst unit, but he was definitely not the greatest. He does have some crazy advantages through the Rapier and Falchion, though. Social Knights and Armour Knights are among the hardest enemies, so that's a big plus.

I didn't play it too much, but from what I did, he was pretty useless. Never doubled for me, was fairly weak, and as Tino said his usefulness came out of his rapier but sometimes even with his rapier he still couldn't OHKO the enemies. He was partly useful though for finishing off enemies, but on the other hand almost anybody can be used for finishing off enemies. :\

Jeigan isn't the worst, either. The worst is Ellis, arguably.

Marth in FE1? Ugh, he was crazy with the Falchion! Have you seen its effect?
Although the might was pretty weak, the Falchion makes its user impervious to non-Mamkute attacks! Plus it can restore 30 HP (or something like that). I don't know why people keep saying Marth is bad, but he was never bad in any games except Brawl, where they made him almost unplayable for me due to a change in mechanics (in my opinion -__-).
BTW Ellis isn't bad. Although her usefulness is hampered by her latecoming, she is still able to heal at least... and use the Ohm Staff. Without that, she'd probably be not so great. The worst is probably Jeigan. His growth rates are weird: 10% at some, others are 0%! Now how do we use that guy? At least Lawrence can tank with that base 17 def of his.
EDIT: Wait, never mind. Jeigan is at least useful in the beginning. The worst would be... Alan. Eww... he comes in late, prepromoted, level 10, with VERY VERY low stats.
Perhaps it's Tomas, Sedgar's forgotten brother. Archer is THE WORST class in the game. He's level 7 and comes in the middle of the game where you probably have Castor or Gordin trained already. I don't hate him... but there are other bow and arrow users out there.
Or maybe Est is the worst. EST? Yeah, level 5 and coming VERY late in the game... chapter 16 out of 20 in FE3 Book 1, chapter 14 (I think?) out of 20 on FE3 book 2... level 19 on FE1/FE11. By then, Catria or even Palla are better.

Marth is awesome, in my game he got a nice defense:D

I am Wrys, a humble curate. I cannot fight, but this staff I carry can heal your wounded. Take me with you, and you’ll be very glad you did.

For some bizzare reason in FEDS he seems to be pretty beefy. I mean, I get hit by an axe and only take 2-3 damage. What's up with that? I thought he'd be more frail like normal Lords that don't wear armor. Oh well. Nothing to complain about... other than the lack of realistic-ness.

Are you talking about early on Marth, or later during the game Marth, Wraith? |
Marth in EVERY parts of the game... *not counting magic damage*
From the very beginning, it seemed very odd. But then again, he started off with a base defense of 6 or something like that.

Hmm, FEDS tends to be ridiculously shaky as a whole due to the class changing amongst other things and people just plain having 'freaky' and 'abnormal' growths. It makes it more interesting and yet it also feels a lot more like Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. >_> Class change, get generic allies to replace ones that die/disappear, etc... :\
