Richard walked down the hallway of Frelia castle. He sighed, many of his friends were dead now. Friends that he could have protected better. He walked into a room, and sat down.

Alucard looked down at the pile of lumber before him, he would have to chop it all up before it got dark. The delivery boy was supposed to be there in a few days, and earlier when he passed through a Renais town there was talk of a war.

Alucard sighed and started to chop away, the house being empty now that both his parents were dead. He looked off the ledge nearby and could see a Frelian town in the distance, it looked well fortified, which was weird. "Could it be that Frelia and Renais are at war? If this is the case I hope my house gets left alone, it being near the border and all. It is well hidden by the forest and cliffs though." He thought, as he continued chopping up wood.

When he next checked, from the setting sun in the horizon it looked like there was a big fire in the distance. From the direction of Renais Castle. "Beautiful. " He though as he began bringing in the wood.

As Richard keep lamenting himself, he thought to himself... "Is this the end for me? Have I failed my duty?"He kept a silent position for various minutes when suddendly...

Colm, a thieve whom he always trusted walked by and spoke to Richard. "You must forgive yourself, it was not your falt for saving them too late"Colm said with a sad face, while looking at Richard, as to then, Richard raised his head replying, "Its my fault, if i havent been so weak I could have saved them, they would have been stil here, alive... next to me... Kent... Kensai... Soren... why... why couldnt I do it!!!!! As the sadness turned to anger and he smacked the wall next to him...

OoC: She introduced Colm so maybe that's her character? I don't know, but it sure looks like she took over Richard. On that note I want to ask how this RP is being run, is it a "Jump in if interested" type or the "PM me/make a profile and get it accepted type?

[OOC] Me and Ria talked, she wasn't sure how to join in, and didn't know you can't control other people's characters. She signed up now under the other topic, and Aya, There's another topic to sign up under, it's not hard to find.

Alucard finished bringing in the wood, and made sure to put in logs big enough to keep the fire going until morning. He then started polishing his swords, for he felt he would need to use them soon. He also had the feeling he would get visitors tonight, either refugees, soldiers, or bandits. If he was lucky, it might even be the delivery boy, and he could set out as a mercenary again soon.

OOC- I feel like moving this along.

Richard glanced up as a soldier burst into the room. "A small detachment of Grado soldiers is attacking one of our minor bases along the Frelia-Renais border. You and Alucard are leaving to fend them off."

"Just me and Alucard? Doesn't that seem...hazardous?" Richard asked.

"Don't worry. It's a relatively small group, you two can take them on." The soldier said, leaving.

"Right...better find Alucard..." Richard said, leaving the room.

Alucard heard a knock at the door, there stood a Frelian Messenger.

"Sir Alucard, the nearby borderrtown is about to be attacked by Grado Forces, you and Richard have been assigned the task defending it."

Alucard nodded and pointed to the table, thinking "I should leave right away, Richard might have forgotten how to get up the narrow rocky pass." Alucard shined and donned his armor while the soldier left the gold on the table and ate by the fire.

Alucard moved the gold to the hidden vault in his room, and said t the soldier "Stay as long as you like, I trust you won't steal anything. You can put the horse in the shed, or leave him tied up outside."

Alucard left and took the quick path to the bordertown, hoping to meet Richard there.

Moments later... 'Eeek!!! help! somebody help!!

A cry was heard from one of the villages in the bordertown...

"A young woman struggeling to escape a bandit, knowned as "The Silent Blade"he was considered not a treat to some, but he seemed preety pissed for some reason... A sword covered in a cloak of Blood on one hand, while a head of a fallen villager in the other... a choice of life and death if the young women cooperated..."

"Now... would you do as I say and give me all the gold you posses? "Ragron, the Silent Blade, said with an evil grin in his face"

"No!! I won't! I need this for a sick member of my family, please spare me! I have not done anything wrong! Please find it in your heart, let me go"she said while tears fell from her face.

"Hahaha... charming im assumed... well now that i think of it... im more interested in what I can do to you... SAY YOUR PRAYERS! *He raises his sword and prepares to strike the woman*

OOC: PLOT TWIST! ( Alucard is arriving at the border town)

Alucard is just arriving in the bordertown.

Alucard looks around, not seeing any Grado Soldiers or Richard, just hearing some delirious sobbing from the other side of the village. Alarmed, Alucard quietly enters a house next to the crying, and seeing a ma hovering over a woman with sword drawn, he looks around. Seeing a chest of clothes, Alucard sheathes his swords and picks it up.

Alucared throws the chest through the window at the bandit.

OOC: Take that.

OOC: interesting...

Ragron quickly turns over to see a tall man, holding a sword, challenging him to save the life of the poor woman, the young women rushed over to Alucard, seeking defense...

"So... they've hired you to defeat me? said Ragron with a sarcastic smile and laughter

"Yes, you monster... feeding on the lives of innocent people for your own desire... your nothing but a coward, said Alucard while assuming his possition, waiting to strike

"T-those words... Coward... have you idea... what you've said to me? 'said Ragron while placing his head downsided as to the words got to his head.

OOC: You really shouldn't control my character.

Alucard looks over the man. "You're Ragrarockanon. That bandit who was rumored to be so cowardly, he was kicked out of his group. Not only that, he became a gladiator, but was even too scared of that. Seeing as how you're attacking defenseless people, why would I not call you a coward?"

"Regardless, this fight will not happen. Unlike you, I do not fight the weak or the meek. If you need money so badly, become a mercenary for the Frelian forces, there's a war brewing, or so I hear. Sheathe your sword and leave now, there's a small Grado army coming here, and they will be defeated by my hand. If you do not leave by the time they arrive, then I shall kill you along with them. Consider this your warning."

Alucard leaves the house, and tells the woman to go warn the other villagers to hide in the Fort nearby. And if they see an omnious man in black armor named Richard, to tell him Alucard shall hold the village.

While Alucard left, Ragron returned to normal... thinking ... those words of solitude he was said by the soldier...

Ragron thought "what have I become? a killing machine? no end or beggining? is this really the life of the rumored killer i once was? or is this really the life of a coward living in a world of lies... all this pain... i must... i must find the man and apologize...

Ragron rushes over and opens the door, only to see that the man Alucard was just leaving hastidly to his place, Ragron called the man, trying to fix what happend minutes before...

Sir, Ragron said while putting his face in a down position.

OOC: You made my character say something, but it all worked out, personally I don't really mind it as long as people don't make them say "I am stupid." or something like that, but I know hardcore RPers get anal about it.

Alucard turns to Ragron, having forgotten about him. "Yes?"

OOC: ok then, cause well, cause if there was a scene like there was before when i called you, i guess i SHOULD have my character and your character talk, if not, then i just erase.


"Trying to face Alucard, Ragron is silent, not knowing what to say, so he just burts and says what he thought of quickly.

Im sorry and i would like to join you, i assume that you'll need some help fencing back those brigands!

Alucard laughs. "You've obviously not heard of me then. But alright, you can join me if you so wish. Try not to get hurt, I'm not quite sure how many are coming here. There's another man coming, named Richard. I'm not sure where we're going to meet up, but he's on our side."

Ragron looks at him and winks, Why sir, don't think you've haven't seen me before, I was one of the Brigands who attacked your village and im sure they mentioned your name... I think they said... Alucard, Alucard , great defender Alucard.

So, yes I have, "Alucard faced Ragron and shaked him hand"

Ragron the instant, told Alucard, that the man he was looking for, was rumored to be in the Bar around town.

Alucard smirks. "That may be my name, but it's not my legacy. You must be mistaking me for someone else, my village was never attacked by bandits, nor have I ever lived in a village. Nor can I see Richard drinking. I shall check anyways.'

Alucard walks to the bar and opens the door.
