Diddy Kong - Cavalier - Either riding Rambi or a Yoshi like the rest of the cavaliers.
Dixie Kong - Myrmidon
Tiny Kong - Archer
Funky Kong - Pirate - If you make it an edit, I want it to be based off the Fighter sprite, not the Pirate one.
Kiddy Kong - Cavalier - Wearing green, (I can edit the palette myself when I insert it though) If Diddy is riding Rambi, Kiddy will ride Ellie the Elephant otherwise he'll ride a Yoshi like other cavaliers.

References would be nice and portraits are going to be hard to make for those kind of animalistic (not a word I know) characters... :\ I just realized that now, it's going to take some to get this done :\

And blazer has a point, full customs do take some time... Unless we take some liberties with them, like making the kings with a closer style to their in-game appearances, rather than a more FE-ish look. Then it would be a matter of simply resizing their OAs and reshading, which would be easier. smile.gif

Awesome job. It's a shame he has to be shortened so much to be inserted...

But perhaps if you don't mind me editing the sprite a bit myself, I could find an alternative way to get him to fit into the box without shortening him so much.

It does change his posture, making it upright rather than slouched down like you'd expect DK to be, but at least he fits like that and Diddy won't tower over him anymore.

Donkey Kong looks great, Diddy Kong looks like he could use some shading work (to make it look less bland is all), how many colors is that? you might as well make use of all 16 colors you know. I'm sure somebody could help you out, the hardest part is probably making the base I'd imagine ohmy.gif

Hmm, well... Hope you don't mind my...daringness?(Or should I say daredevilness? wink.gif) ...but well, in view of Rex's great talent for furries(Had to say it, sorry dude. XD), and your awesome lineart, I just thought I should take the liberty of adapting your mug's style to more closely resemble his':

Hope it is good enough. Aside from the reds, they share the same palette. I decided that since he is a chimp, rather than a gorilla, his fur should have a more wild effect... But if you find it ugly, I could simply follow Rex's style orthodoxly, no problem by me. smile.gif


And also, if you decide you don't want people touching your work up, do not hesitate do deny my work, this was just a 15 minute thing anyways. wink.gif

Touched up your Diddy to fix a few problems I had with it.

The split between the eyes was too exaggerated for my taste, and the nose was far too low; Diddy's nose is supposed to be higher on his face than DK's is.

Also changed the palette a bit, mainly to satisfy my obsessiveness of making the palette multiples of 8, I also added an additional fur color since there was one palette space left.

Lastly, I aligned him in the box exactly how I aligned him before.

Diddy's hat can use a third shade. The border color doesn't look
too good there.

I was originally going to use the extra palette space for a third hat shade... For whatever reason I changed my mind. XD (And just to let you all know, there WAS a third hat color in my original sprite, why Ryrumeli removed it, I don't know. My original sprite only used 15 colors (including background) so there was the space to add a color without removing another.)

Anywho, another touch up, trading the fourth fur color for the third hat shade, as well as attempting to fix the border color thing you vaguely mentioned.

Your hat had a third shade indeed, a form of pink used in like 4-5 pixels. XD Technically it was tempting to leave it with the same amount of colors. I just removed a shade which I didn't find a reason to be, and made the eyes detailed for that. A good trade-off if you ask me.

Red is, to my experience so strong in some cases that two shades suffice most times. IMO, just using the second color back then instead of the border already looked good in my prior tests, even though the current edit is cool. smile.gif


But the edits are more than fine, again he is your mug after all. happy.gif
