So I had a little talk with Blazer over AIM when wake boarding became the subject. And it's such a nice subject that it'd be a good idea to make a thread about it.
Today I went wake boarding with a bunch of friends. For those who aren't quite familiar with surface water sports, you could see wake boarding as snowboarding (to a certain extent), except on water instead of on snow. For more details, look here: http://en.wikipedia....ki/Wakeboarding
Today was the first time in my entire life, which is why I started with water skiing. I assume everyone knows what that is. That was, however, fairly easy, and while it was definitely a great experience, I felt I would be more thrilled from wake boarding, which is why I switched to that after thirty or forty-five minutes water skiing. And damn, that was difficult. But since I had well over two hours left, I managed to pull off quite a few things, such as not falling every two inches, doing a 360, and I even managed to pull off a few fairly long grinds.
It really was awesome, and we're definitely going to do it again sometime. Perhaps before we all go to school again, for the weather promises to stay great for a few more days.
Now, my question is if anyone has ever done this before, and if you have, how did you experience it? If you didn't, would you like to try it sometime? Or some more general questions, are you into more extreme sports or not? If not, why not? etc.etc.idontfeellikeaddingagazillionquestionssoillstophere

I was a bit skeptical at first but after watching some videos on youtube it does look pretty cool.
I'd say, yes I would like to try it sometime, (maybe after learning to water ski first though)
As for extreme sports? I don't really know, I've never done any I don't think (unless skateboarding counts)

Believe it or not, Water Skiing is Piss Easy, I tried for about 30 minutes, then I was able to stand completely did some Laps and then I tried to balence on one leg and went flying at about 60 MPH... Last part was fun as hell though xD
