Ok, I've got a long-running issue with the FE Editor. I can't get it to work. I've taken every guide and reply to previous topics into consideration, but I can't manage to get any of them to help me. Ok, here's the issue:

Step 1: I open "FE_Editor.7z."
Step 2: I find and open the "dist." Folder.
Step 3: I open "FE_Editor.jar."

Now, after step 3, the guide I read and the replies to other topics ay that I have to select my ROM and then go to "Tools" on the editor and start using it. But for me, this doesn't seem to work. I open the Editor and It opens up to 6 folders, and I don't see any spot to open my ROM, or anything about editing my FE ROM in the "Tools" section. I really want to get this thing working, so if ANYONE can help me, please do! I've tried almost everything I could think of, and no one else on other sites can help me, so I was wondering if anyone here could...

You have to extract the files, my good friend-- download winRAR, it's quite capable.

And then click the file called "Execute FE#" (depending on which game) and assuming you have the latest verison of Java it should open the program for you within a few seconds.

Just adding to what Blazer said, if you have one of the latest versions, instead of an "Execute FE#", it will have a single generic program named "Run".


So regardless of which of the two you have, both work quite well and are quite powerful. Enjoy your program.
